Honey, I'm HOME!

I am exhausted, I honestly dont know why I have such a need to post tonight instead of getting in bed, but if I dont now, I may not get this done!

The trip down went great! It was cool to sing as loud as I wanted and take pictures driving at 85+ mph and stop when and where I wanted without anyone making a fuss. Brian ended up waking me up at 4am instead of 5am, so I said screw it and got up and took my shower and was out the door by 5am! I made so-so time getting to my grandparents door at 12:22...not my personal best, but I had to take into account slower driving in the dark, stoping for gas, and breakfast and being pulled over 3 times! Yup, well I was *actually* pulled over 2 times, the third time I thought it was me but ended up being some other poor shmoe getting it. But somehow I managed to get out of all the tickets!! WOOPIE! I stopped for breakfast and a much needed coffee and potty break around 6:30 and then was on my way! I got some cool pics and the trip was very relaxing!
I had a great time with my grandparents...for the first time in many years, I felt like a kid again, safe and sound with my grandma and grandpa. It was a whirl wind weekend filled with gambling...some gambling....oh and then we went gambling, and after that we decided to go to the flea market...and then gambled afterwards!! LOL I also had a good time seeing my aunt and uncle and cousins and really felt like I reconnected with Melissa for the first time in ages, she is getting so big and grown up it blows my mind! I missed seeing Lorie for the most part because things were hectic on her end and time got away...but she says she has claimed me for the 19th of July!
I went by the condo we were going to rent in July and what a rathole! UGH! So luckily I found out now and not later, changed my reservation, and got in at a great price at our usual hotel on the beach!
I feel so lucky to have spent the time I did with my grandparents. I had a great time and will miss them very much. But just 15 weeks and 4 days and I will be back and next time I am treating THEM to dinner out! :)

Grandma, Grandpa, thank you. Thank you for always being there for me and for being such a big part in my life in making me who I am today. I treasure the time I have with you, even if its only once or twice a year. I love you both very much and I am looking foward to seeing you both in July. I miss you already so so much. I love you!

So thats it, the drive home sucked of course because I just wanted to get home to my kids and brian as fast as I could, and I pulled in about 3pm. I am worn out and ready to relax and get a good nights sleep in my bed with my hubby and my cats I am sure.

my last post...

Well, for a few days that is!

I have oodles of stuff to do today to get ready for tomorrow. I am having my morning quiet time before the kids get up to catch up on here and have a hot cup of coffee since it is FREEZING here. I am having the A/C in my car fixed today and I will get my car back at lunch. Laci is sick with allergies or a cold or something. I know my allergies are acting up but not to her level yet (add in some good ol palm pollen tomorrow and I will be reaching for the kleenex I am sure!)

I am super excited now, I had to take the zanax last night because my nerves were absolutely shot from holding laci literally ALL DAY long and christopher was nuts and the house was a wreck, and my A/C was off in my car, and just everything...but as always I woke up feeling recharged and ready to go. I love zanax! (I take it like once in a blue moon when I get overwhelmed and it always gets the job done)

So today the house is clean (for now) Brian is getting my car fixed and clean and bringing it to me at lunch so I can run my errands this afternoon, dinner will be easy, and I am signing off the computer for the day after this is done. I hope laci is a little better, it wouldnt be so bad if we could still go outside but it is 28* right now and only getting to 50* today...we had SNOW yesterday! (you know, after her 74* birthday party on saturday)

Anyhow, I cant believe FINALLY after 14 months I will be half way to macon this time tomorrow!! EEK! I am beyond excited to see everyone! And I am curious as to how the drive down alone will do me. Thank God it gets warmer as I get south! LOL I may start off in an eskimo suit and end up in a bathing suit! ha! I should dress in layers! :P

Welcome back!

So the stress of the birthday has come and gone, the emotional part will linger a while longer but I keep that under lock and key for the most part. The weekend seemed to fly by and take forever all at the same time, and honestly..i am STILL exhausted!

The party was wonderful! I was so blessed to have so many amazing friends and family memebers show up, and we were even surprised with a visit from Chase who we expected was at school, Milton and Belinda who always make the time to drive from Stone Mountain to see my children on their birthdays and my baby showers, and Cheryl and baby Garrett who I am becoming friends with and hope to continue to build that bond. On top of our surprise guests I was able to edge a surprise in myself by knowing that their would be a 10 year reunion between felicia and melissa and jesse and the shriek let out by melissa was proof that I had done a good job! :)

The party was a hit, the kids had a blast and the weather couldnt have been better! Everyone seemed to click, and the cupcake tower turned out great! The birthday girl did amazingly and even though she had a few tearful moments, she warmed up to the chaos and at the end of it all, passed out on daddy!

After the party we came home and cleaned up again, put everything away, and started preparing for the easter bunny! Christopher dyed eggs for the first time and he did a really good job and got into it more than I had expected. And *finally* after both kids were passed out, the bunny came and delivered the goods and all was quiet at last!

Sunday morning the kids were very excited to see their baskets full on the table, and I made pancakes and scrambled eggs as always. After breakfast we went to Jesses house for a pot luck lunch and easter egg hunt for the kids. It was christopher's first time hunting eggs and he was fabulous at it!! We had a really good time and Laci was really much better there than the day before!

Finally it was time for the weekend to end, we got the kids in bed, me and dad sat together and talked for a while and the I passed out cold!

So here it is, MONDAY! and we all know how I feel about mondays! LOL but this monday isnt so bad since in 2 DAYS I am leaving for DAYTONA!!! WOOT!

So I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and easter and Thank you again to everyone who helped make my baby girl's first birthday a treasured memory!

Wednesday

Yesterday I went to Garden Ridge with my friend Tiffany for our babies birthdays coming up. I managed to buy a big pink plastic tub for the drinks and some more laundry baskets. I also bought a pink tiara for her too. Most of the rest of the day was spent playing and just relaxing. Today we are expecting more storms. Wooptie Doo.

Not alot going on today really, just wasting time during the day and probably going to bed early since I have been up since 4:41am.

Well...its monday...

Bleh.

So friday was a blur of cramps and aggravation...I also spent 3 hours finally cancelling our sprint phones and now we are with verizon! But the real action came on Saturday. For the first time in HISTORY (the closest call being in 1974 when one hit the Governors mansion) a tornado hit Atlanta!!! Then we had a line of tornadoes rip through north georgia and the line cut straight through Cherokee County...so you guessed it...I seen my very first tornado forming right over our neighborhood...I tell you, while terrifying it was a moment I have waited for my entire life! And it was beautiful. However, we had to run for cover...luckily for us, but bad for our south canton neighbors, the storm was moving about 45-55 miles per hour and actually made touchdown 7 miles from our house with 4.5" hail!!! (btw, some people are compulsive liars for attention so if you run across someone from sandy springs inform them you know there was NO storm cell that passed them...therefore the descriptions given would be completely false) Anyhow, the storms finally moved out around 5pm and we were exhausted from the emotional roller coaster of it all. We decided on dinner out.
Yesterday was pretty much just errands as usual. We did go and get our pictures made at Target, but they are so bad I may not be sending them out afterall!

We also had someone come look at our house...during the storms on saturday, and walk in and walk out. Apparently the number ONE thing they need is a *big flat fully fenced in yard*....yeah good luck finding that in a CLUSTER neighborhood morons! UGH some people are so DUMB!

How is it Thursday again?

Some how I see it is Thursday and thats crazy. This week has flown by! Yesterday was a big day of nothing, lol, so I had nothing to post about. Today I am taking the kids to Toys R Us to look for birthday gifts for Laci and just to get out of the house for a while. After that we will go back to our relax in the sunny back yard ways! Man, the only way this weather could get nicer is if watermelon and corn would start getting harvested!! (we had corn on sale but it was baby sized!)

Anyhow, I am really getting excited but very sad too for Laci's QUICKLY approaching birthday, but I know it is going to be great and I cant wait to decorate for it!! Also I cant WAIT to get to florida!! Man, its been over a YEAR since I had my feet on home soil and I am *itching* to get back!! I seriously think this is the year I rip a palm tree out of the ground and tie it to my roof and bring it home! LOL Man, how nice it will be to see the ocean, and shop in little shops and walk the flea market and spend suck great quality time with my grandparents!!! (of course I will see everyone else too but you know!) I am actually really looking forward to the drive down now too! My mom talked me into leaving at 6am if I can so I am going to shoot for that. (Although I wont be able to say by to the kids that way...that makes me sad.) But the drive down will be nice and I can do anything I darn well please there!! ha!

So anyways, hope everyone enjoys their thursday! I am off to the toy store! :P

Miss me?

Sorry I was MIA yesterday but it was a wild and crazy day with the kids! (who oddly are both asleep still so I am catching up on here..brb..need coffee...)

OK, so anyhow laci now has SEVEN teeth!!! Monday her bottom left incisor cut through and yesterday her top left one came through!!! Holy Moly! Her teeth are sprouting up all over! Poor christopher only had 2 teeth I think to bite into his birthday cake with. And speaking of birthdays....I am FREAKING out that Laci has LESS that 10 days left now!!! I was rocking Christopher yesterday and it sadly dawned on me just how big they get and how fast they get that big once they hit "one"...and its coming so fast. I cant stop this day from coming. I am so happy for my baby girl to be turning one, but so very very sad for my heart...and my uterus pains for another baby that wont ever come again....**sigh**

So on a happier birthday note...I got the cupcake tower yesterday and its huge of course, lol, and I also bought the cake mixes and a new "cupcake icing bag and tips" for decorating them. I assume I should get the tops in the mail soon, and we bought her birthday outfit...which is nothing like I pictured it would be...but it is a surprise.

Anyhow, I have to set up an appointment for family pictures this weekend, I really hope I can get us in...otherwise I have to cram it into a VERY busy weekend next weekend. eww.

I am also looking foward to Easter at Jesse's house for a pot luck lunch and easter egg hunt! There are going to be so many kids and I know Topher will have a blast! We are taking him to a big one in cobb county this weekend too...as long as it doesnt rain again.

A very busy Monday...

Oddly enough today went by really fast, I guess partly in due to the time change and partly because it was warm and sunny today and we spent a lot of time out in the back yard.

So my day started off in an excited blur trying to score Jimmy Buffett tickets...and somehow I managed to get two VERY good tickets....however...they cost a LOT of money and now I have guilt and I have made the choice to sell my beloved tickets. Yes, you see that right...I am *selling* my Jimmy Buffett tickets...I must be crazy!! I have waited forever to get to see him and now I am in possession of some AWESOME frikkin seats and I am giving them up. I have them listed on Ebay, and I am passing it around by word of mouth. But I am not stupid...I know I could be sitting on some very desirable tickets and I plan on making a profit on my loss of a dream concert. So I have them listed for 450.00, but I would take 400.00 if a friend wanted them...but not less as I spent close to that on them!!! EEK! (now you see my guilt) So anyhow I am already mentally detaching myself from the whole concept of wasting away in margaritaville...and now I wanna get drunk...but not screw. I am upset as you can imagine.

Anyhow, other than that it has been a nice day (even though I am so tired from the kids being up all night) and I look like the tan love child between a zebra and a leopard. (note to self...apply self tanner to MYSELF from now on and dont let someone else do that!!!!) Hopefully I will fade soon, and I can start to reapply correctly and try to achive something darker than "Buluga" by the time I go to florida!!

Sunday you come too fast for me...

Here it is...sunday...again...and worse yet it is now in DST so I have LOST an hour of my beautiful weekend....

I am actually tired of spending money...I never thought I could say that, but since we got the income tax back I had to get spring/summer wardrobes for us all, including myself for the first time in years, and we needed a few things around the house and now I am done...no more for a few days!!

No one came to see our house this weekend...which isnt real surprising seeing as my realtor decided not to put up signs for the home for sale on our street and we had snow most of the day on Saturday and today was nice...but cold...maybe next weekend!

We did the Chuck E Cheese thing on saturday for rewarding topher for sleeping in his bed all week...and man..I am starting to hate that place! It is getting more run down by the week it seems sometimes...I wish I could think of a better place for Topher's fourth Bday in may because I really dont wanna deal with a party there again.

Other than that the weekend has been fairly quiet, and I am just planning everything to get in order for Laci's bday and easter and my impending weekend away in Florida. I have nothing big or amazing to report on, and I think life is in a slow lull waiting for spring to finally SPRING! But the good news...and maybe the best...is that from now until the fall my hubby will be home with daylight to spare! I hate when he gets home and its already pitch black out and cold...maybe now we can start getting some warmer weather and find some fun things to do as a family in the evening again.

Any how, tomorrow is Monday...and you all KNOW how I feel about Mondays...blech!!!!

Thursday it is...hooray hooray~

Well its time to drag out and dust off the old suitcases! Mama is going to FLORIDA!! I am leaving on the 27th and not coming back til the 31st!! And even more amzingly, I am going..... ALONE!!! Yup! You heard that right! I was going to go see my grandparents as soon as I could and last night me and Brian decided that would be a good weekend, and I was ready to book a flight. But after talking with my grandma today, I have decided to drive down instead, because after a flight and renting a car, I would be close to 400.00!!! I can do the whole thing...WITH spending money for 200.00 if I drive...so I am sucking it up, and for the first time ever, I am making the trip from here to daytona, alone!

Other than that, there isnt a lot going on. The house is STILL for sale, and I am still bored out of my mind, but me and brian are working on a plan to get me into some kind of a part time job in retail so I can be around people that dont sing and dance spontaneously or wear purple dinosaur suits! I am really looking foward to doing that, because while i LOVE being at home with my kids, I am getting a tad burnt out because I get virtually no contact with the outside world, and even less as an individual and alone....and I can admit I need some alone time on occassion.

So thats it, I am stoked to go to florida, a little nervous about doing the drive alone, but then I will have money for a flight to JERSEY instead soon!!! I wanna hold my nephew Ernie and make some "sweet tae"!! Woot!! :)

Happy tuesday...

The storms were nothing like they were supposed to be, which is a good thing, but also sucked because I let brian use the car so I was pretty much stuck at home all day long and I swear I am suffering from cabin fever. I mean even though I get out on occassion, I still am scratching the door so hard I am breaking nails lately. I think maybe its this very long winter we are having that for the last 5 or so years have not been used to. **shrugs** Anywho, I was bored out of my freaking mind today.

I am working on getting Laci back on her regular nap schedual for 2 major reasons, 1. she is taking a crap nap in the dead center of the day and then is beyond tired by 5 o'clock and 2. she has a birthday in 17 days at 12 NOON..you know, the time she has been going to sleep?!?! So today I tried to start and her naps were AWFUL! She slept for a little over 1/2 hour each time where she *was* sleeping 2 hours twice a day!! UGH! So hopefully things will normal out soon, I am going to start having brian call and wake me up at 7:00 and then she will be woken up at 7:30...I know that seems stupid, but I dont mind getting up early even on the weekend, and it will force her to get tired at the right times again...and if she bucks the system, well, then in 18 days she can go back to her new routine! HA!

Topher did well-ish again last night in his bed/room. I did get up and fall asleep with Laci and when I came back to my bed at quarter to 4 this morning I found his butt in my bed...so back to his room he went (yes I am mean, and no I dont care!) So he fussed for a second but then was fine.

Tonight I am working on Laci's birthday invites, and then biking and watching a movie with Brian. Then I am treating myself to a hot shower and an early-ish bedtime!! Tomorrow I think for sure I am taking the kids out *somewhere* to get the hell up out of this house for a while!!

We also got some feedback on 2 of the showings. One person said their client loved the house but since the back yard isnt kid friendly (ummm who'd have thought that since every backyard owned by ppl with kids is done up like a park including ours now) they decided against putting in an offer! UGH!! Then to add insult to injury a second person basically said thier client hated the house, hated the neighborhood, and rated the house as "average"...damn. That hurt. So we will see what the other 2 thought hopefully even though I know it wont be good because we have had no offers. I feel like crying. :( Oh well...

As of Friday (02/29/08), Laci is completely off of formula!!! YAY!! :)

Also, depending on the storms we are expecting tomorrow, I may not be on at all. I guess there is a pretty bad system moving through and here in Canton, we end up the southeast Tornado Alley sometimes it seems. :(

what a weekend!

First lets start with the beds...

Laci is doing WONDERFULLY! She is sleeping better than ever before, only waking maybe once and sleeping til 8-9am every day!!! She has trouble falling asleep because she is too excited over all the lace and frills, but once she is out she is out! Topher on the otherhand...sigh...this is hard. For the first 3 nights it was an all night struggle, with screaming, spanking, sneaking into our bed, and him eventually sleeping on our floor for the night. We tried bribing with toys, trips, reading books, tv on, everything...nothing worked, Then yesterday evening he liet us know he is scared of his new bedding (pirates of the carribean) because there are skulls and skelletons on it. So we made a game about if he could sleep in his bed for 5 nights we would go to chuck e cheese on saturday. We also changed his bed into the old bedding of sesame street and spiderman. We then made the game of "noooo...i dont think you can sleep in your bed, i think we wont worry about chuck e cheese" and so on...til he was determined to sleep in his bed! Then he actually fell asleep in his bed!!! Then he slept with only getting up twice and actually going to his own bed again!!! So I am ccrossing my fingers that we may have fixed the issue!!! PLEASE let this be it now!!!

As far as the rest of the weekend goes, We had THREE showings yesterday!!! It was crazy!! I am hoping that maybe one of them liked the house. My neighbor says that one group was here for a LONG time, they actually went to the store and came back and they were still here!! Man, selling our house soon would be OH so sweet!!! :)

We also got a nice swingset for free of craigslist and set it up at the bottom of the hill and both the kids LOVE it!! Its really nice with a wave slide, and a fort, and 2 swings and monkey bars and its all treated wood!! Very very nice...especially for FREE!!! Woopie!!!

So today I am resting and getting a game plan for the rest of the week going, and working on Laci's invites tonight and getting them sent out tomorrow. I still can'y believe its MARCH already!!!!
