So busy....
Getting back into the swing of things has been hard for me. So I have been fairly quiet on the P's front, but wanted to let everyone know we are all ok. I am working a LOT with christopher on getting some school work done in preparation for pre-k, and I am working on changing the sleeping scheduals here at the house. This morning I let the kids "sleep in" til about 8:15...but tomorrow its back to 7:00-7:30! I havent walked/jogged in 2 days due to horrific shin splints and headaches. but tomorrow I am back on the grind! Brian bought me some new shoes and I am dieting well. My body is having a hard time adjusting to the caloric change after last week, but I am dealing with it.
I have fall fever!!! I am so ready for all the wonderful goodness that is fall...but first I must get through the excruciating month that is August! *sigh* We are working on making the house more "homey" as I am so over the morgue style empty nest it has become since packing. We addedd scarf curtains in the living room as well as an area rug in front of the couch, moved the ottoman around and will be soon working on the mantle. It is feeling a lot more like home now and that works with me!
We have a little over 2 weeks before our contract is up with our realtor and we are looking foward to a change!!! BOY HOWDY!
I have lost 2 pounds and everything else is swell! I am looking foward to making an appoinment to get contacts soon so maybe my headaches will go away!!!

So much to blog....
Its rediculous how much I have to write about and how much I need to do to this blog. I have been avoiding the 4 P's all weekend!! Lets see, where to start...
well, I am 26 now!! Man my butt is getting O-L-D!!! Brian surprised me with being able to leave a day early for the vacation last week, and at 7:30ish we made the choice to clean the house and leave in the morning for Florida...on my bday!! We ended up leaving at 4:33am...after waking at 4:15 and I am greatful we did. I am pretty night blind but cant handle being in a side seat in the corolla so I have to drive, and I was SOO happy when at 6:15 daylight started to break and I could see well finally!!
The kids did AMAZING on the way down, even though Laci slept very little once awakened at 4:30. And she barely cried at all! We had lots of toys and snacks on hand and for the few whiney moments I had my trusty MP3 player to help me out!!
We got in around 12:30 after about 15 stops, lol, and I was pleased with the time I made as well as the trip itself. And I wasnt so tired as I slept all night.
Laci decided ON my birthday to take off walking permanently and never look back to crawling...she hasnt crawled since she got to my Aunts house on my birthday! Go Laci!! Finally!
The trip was insanely long and for the most part pleasant. I think we could have cut it short by a day or tow for the betterment of the kids, but we waited and then on the way home from Chow Wang with Brian and the kids after the big family dinner we again made the choice to leave in the wee hours of the morning instead of waiting til checkout....when I was having a nap at my home at 1pm on friday I was again OH so happy with our choice.
I also made a new discovery this last week. After 26 years of kicking and screaming and ranting about Daytona being my "home"....I sadly and bittersweetly made the realization that that has changed. Georgia (mostly marietta/atlanta) is my home. Its where I started my family, and where I have most of my sweetest memories. I think all these years I have wanted to move back "home" to escape my sad childhood memories and fears of things returning that its been more of a safe haven than a home to me. But my home is right here, right here on old osmanthus way...my home is in my home...and wherever we go, wherever we end up as a family, THAT is my home. And Georgia is now more full of good thoughts than bad and I have accepted my home. Daytona, I will never forget you, thanks for the 26 years of holding my hand and pointing me in the right direction. :) But we all know...There's no place like home...and although I miss my family in daytona terribly that it pains my heart...I am so happy to be home again.
The vacation was filled with love and laughter, hundereds of pictures, BBQs, and hot spot outings, shopping with grandma, breakfast with grandpa, fishing with christopher, and pool time with everyone. There was SO much that happened that I could take all night re-visiting it all. The kids liked the Splash Park the most, me and brian had an interesting time of sleeping apart with one with each kid every night and never would have imagined the king bed in a separate bedroom would have been handed over to the 16 month old! We had one rushed lunch before our "curse" kicked in (and yes, its a curse...EVERYTIME we have EVER tried to go out something happens and requires us cutting things short and getting home,...yet again that happended! but you guys gave it a great shot! Thanks Aunt Chrissy and Uncle Mike!!), we did however enjoy just having time as a family of 4. This has been a very long very night break from reality and stress for us and we all reconnected. I have fallen in love with my husband all over again...and it feels great!
The drive home was ok. Not horrible, not as nice as coming down...but we made GREAT time and was home an hour before I had planned. It was so great to be home....and off that friggin highway! I got a pounding headache and became pretty sick to my stomach by about 575 and 75. I came home and needed to slug around the rest of the day just to not feel like hurling. 11 hours of sleep later and saturday I was up and ready to go!!
The weekend was a blur. I was working on my yard within 3 hours of getting home when I got some strength back, and Brian got the whole yard mowed and weed eated the first day as well. Saturday was spent grocery shopping and running errands and going to the library with Topher. Topher also got a new pair of school shoes and a new bookbag (his first ever!! ...my pack-rat-ism is twitching inside me) and all his school supplies, and I bought loads of healthy goodies for myself!
Tomorrow starts my new morning routine of waking at 5am and going for a walk/jog in the wee hours to get my day started healthier and to help with my weight loss. I didnt buy a scale this weekend but I will get one next weekend for sure...for now I have to use old unreliable bessie, ugh. Anyhow, more on that and all tomorrow.
For now, I am off to bath and bed! :)

Down to the last few days...
So very much to do in the last few days before we leave for florida. Today is laundry and cleaning and getting the pool bag organized and packed and finding all the sand toys and getting them in their bucket to go. Tonight we have christopher's Pre-K orientation at his school. (which my scatterbrained butt just took out to remind myself i need to finish the paperwork! gag!) That is from 6-7 PM. Then when we get home I am going to relax and try to have a quiet evening where I get to bed before 1am!
Tomorrow is my big packing day. I plan on packing darn near everything we will need on the trip and getting it all put out in the garage to be packed in the trunk on Thursday. Thursday is my birthday, as you all may know. So I may need to buy a walker to get around and finish everything since I will be the big 2-6! EEK!! Thursday will be spent cleaning, yup on my friggin birthday I will be cleaning all day. Brian is getting off work at 3pm and coming home to do the yard up nice. (mow, weedeat, clean up, pond ect..) Then we are all taking showers, packing the toiletry bag, and ordering chinese food. Then I am in bed at 7-8pm so I can get up on time a few hours later. Brian will pack the car and then we are on our way in the wee hours of the morning!
You all may not hear from me again now until we return. So thanks for sharing this crazy countdown with me!! See you next Saturday!!!!

Good exhausted morning Monday!
Well, as you can tell this has been an exhausting weekend! After the fiasco that thankfully ended in our baby boy Blue staying with us on this world for a while longer we realized that 600.00 was just too much to be able to come to florida for the whole week as I have been dreaming about for so long. I pretty much was in a very depressed state all day. BUT....Brians grandmother and grandfather gave us a very generous and most amazing gift for our birthdays, and because of that gift, we are heading down this week for the full week again!!!! **whew**
So then yesterday christopher wakes up with diarrhea and puking. Oh My God!!! So I said, welp, if he doesnt get better or if we all get this, we are putting the vacation off til we are all better b/c I am not spending my tmie puking or taking care of puking kids! Well we think it was a lot of blueberries he ate the day before, b/c by the end of the day he was fine...and starving! And now feels good!!
So....its official!!! 3 more days til we are leaving for FLORIDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Saturday (this needs its own post)
so saturday morning we went out back and my cat "blue" came up the back hill after playing like always in the morning but right away i noticed something was wrong. before he reached the top i said "oh my god he's been hit by a car!!"i started to freak out, we brought him in and i was sure he was going to die in the livingroom....i went upstair to look up a vet number and the poor guy got up and tried to follow me, so i took him upstairs and he laid on the bed. he was scraped up, had a gash on one thigh and his back leg was stiff and his spine curved badly to one side. he was a mess. his pupils dialated and his ears were cold. (never a good sign with him). he then tried to come off the bed so i let him on the floor and he went under the bed. he just laid there while i called one vet after another. i shone a flashlight on him twice b/c i thought he was dead.christopher was crying. i sat him on my lap after choosing a vet and explained that blue was going to go to the doctor, was hit by a car, and he may not be coming home again. i had to be honest. he was very upset.me and brian took him to the vet. after the painful exam where he was such a good boy the vet said it appeared he was hit...and dragged by his injuries. then said it didnt look very good.they sedated him and took him for x-rays. the girl came back, turns out it is a fractured pelvis and a severely dislocated hip. the doc tried all she could to get his hip back in, and then came to discuss other outlets...surgery on monday...euthanasia...i cried so hard through all of it when i had a moment with the doc not in the room.then she came in to see if we made up our minds...as we were discussing possible euthanasia (the surgery was well into 1000+.00) the tech came in and said "ummm i need you to come look at this, so and so tried to get the hip in and it made a wierd double pop and we are running more x-rays" the doc left to let us wait for x-rays.20 mins later we hear "YAHOOOO" come from the back. i squeezed brians hand, "please God let that be for us...come on blue be ok...be ok!!!"the tech came in..."did you hear me?" she asked smiling.she through up a new picture on the xray board and the hip is in!!!so 576.63 later and a very woozy kitty...and my very best buddy is on the mend!!healing thoughts for blue please!!

Woohoo!!
ONE MORE WEEK!!
We are in the one week wait now! Yesterday I had a vicious migrain all day so I didnt have the ability to do much on here. I feel a lot better today but I still have a slight headache this morning. Ugh! I am happy today is thursday...I am surprised how easy this week has been to kill for the most part. Today its suppossed to rain a lot so I doubt we will be going or doing anything really. But I may go kill some time with Tiffany next door and maybe take the kids to teh store or something. I dunno.
Anyhow Tuesday is new parent orientaion for Chrsitopher's Pre-K place and I am so nervous and excited its crazy! I still cant believe this is the last month before he is school bound from now on! Wow...time flies. *sigh*
So anyways, not a lot to report on the Pruitt home today. We are all very excited about the vacation and counting down til we can leave! Other than that its just same stuff different day really.

Single Digits!!!!
I am so terribly excited!!!
Here it is! 9 tiny days til we are in florida!!! Finally!!! Singletons! woot! I have completely stopped all planning, list making, and preparing for our trip as well. I am so sure next week is going to drag by and make me crazy I have made the very difficult to manage task of not preparing at all this week! I know, I am nuts! So I am just killing time til then. Yesterday went fast. We went tot he pool in the morning, came home and got laci in bed for a nap, cleaned my house and then when she got up I hung out with Tiffany for a while and then took the kids to Toys R Us and met Brian there, then went to the mall and had dinner and walked around a bit. Then came home and got the kids in bed for the night and went to bed. Laci was up ALL night last night and I was in there with her...I am beyond tired today.
Today I think we may go back to the pool I am not sure, then I am taking the kids to Old Navy to look through their clearence racks as everything is on a big sale right now to make room for new stuff for fall. I am hoping to score a few pieces for Chrstopher and Laci and maybe another pair of soft cotton shorts and a tank or two for me.
This weekend I think me and Brian are going out on Friday night, while Tiffany and Eric watch the kids. Then we will watch their kids for them Saturday evening while they go to a football game. After that me and Tiffany are going to go to Wild West! Woot!
So I am off to pitter around here at the house and work on waking up. Hope you all have a beautiful day!

Good Morning Sunhine!!!
So here it is....the LAST double digit day of my countdown!! Ten more days and I will be heading down to florida!!!!! YAY!!!
So first I want to say thank you for the comments on here, Grandma and Grandpa, Aunt Chrissy, and Amanda. And the "two Chimps off the old block" made me laugh out loud at the desk grandma!, but the phone call message was so sweet you made me and brian both teary eyed. So Thank you for loving Brian so much everyone, and for making me smile in the meanwhile! :)
Second, the party! I took no pictures because I am a moron, and you all know that. So there is no photo record of me slaving away for 4 hours in the kitchen yesterday getting everything ready! But the food was wonderful! My mac and cheese is to die for, my coconut cake was a HUGE beautiful success, and the hot dogs and brats were an easy meal to fix everyone. The jello shots were delicious...and potant...and the fun was flowing! We had a very nice time. We were not surprised that Brians sister didnt show up because that is par for the course with his family. For brian's sake I made it a point to NOT invite the rest of them (grandparents excluded) because I didnt want to see his face when ...AGAIN.. his family wouldnt be attending something of ours. That will now be par for the course on our behalf. It worked out well. My mom and Steve and the boys came, Kevin and his girl friend Cindy came with their daughter Abbi, Eric and Tiffany came with the boys and bella, and we were there. Laci decided kids were more important than a nap so she never napped, and the kids all did really well! Brian got a few nice things. And he got to enjoy a drink or two as well! I was so tired by the end of the night I was asleep in no time!
Today is Brians actual birthday. We are meeting after work at the mall with the kids and having dinner there. Its nothing massive, but its dinner out and in an environment that the two kids will be better in. Plus I have to pick something up from the mall. My baby is 28 years old today! I told him in 2 years I will have to trade him in for a newer model! ha! He said he felt bad, that he wanted to do something for my birthday...I said, "honey, you are giving me a week in Daytona for my birthday...thats the best gift in the whole world!!!" I think he feels better now. :)
So Last but oh so not least...
The vacation!!!
We are going to make a countdown daisy chain today for christopher. I am freaking out that we are down to 10 days! WOW!!! We feel like we have so much to do still. But I will be a mad list maker as usual and we are starting to plan and buy food items too now! YAY! That is one more step to leaving! Tomorrow we are in the single digits and I couldnt be any more excited!!!

then there were twelve...
(For You, Amanda! heehee)
So we are down to 12 more stinkin' days!!! Last night, as you all are aware was the wonderful fabulous fourth of July. *eyeroll*. I HATE fireworks....did you know that? I love the concept, like shows, and like ground fountains...but I HATE morons setting off HUGE arials til ...ready?... 3AM!!! My kids were both up til the end as well crying and freaking out from the noise. Poor Laci was so tired she was a crying zombie til they finally stopped. Its rediculous! Anyhow we are all tired today and I will be very very glad to get to sleep tonight. Yesterday was nice though. We went to our friends Mike and Melissa's house for swimming and a BBQ and ended up spending 6 1/2 hour there! But it was nice and relaxing and they are good company and great people so it was time well spend. Laci took her nap in their room well and Christopher had a great time playing with their daughter breanna.
Tomorrow is Brians (used to be a surprise) birthday party!! I am so excited, although I am afraid no one will make it as none but 2 people have even responded to my emails and phone calls. So it may be more of a flop. I sure hope not, I think that will break brians heart. :( I have a nice meal planned with Brats, Hot dogs, baked bean, home-made crock-pot mac and cheese, chips, watermelon, Jello-shots (woot!), and a home-made cocnut cake! (his choice) YUM! I will be up early getting the cooking underway! I will be sure to post pictures after!

WOOT!!
two more weeks!!!!
So today is the beginning of the two week countdown!! woohoo!!!! It is also Brians last day at work for the week! YAY! I spent the day yesterday with the kids in the garage almost all day, why you ask?, well because I decided to inflate the big new pool and set it up in the garage as it is the only true flat area in my whole "yard". They seemed to really enjoy themselves so I have a feeling we will be spending another day in the kiddie pool! Now it is 8 am and I am having my delicious coffee and just got done with breakfast. Laci is asleep still and I wish I was too! She has been going through something lately and she freaks out at night and now doesnt want Dad, so its just me that can console her, and honestly the 24 hour shifts are starting to take a toll on me. ugh!
Today I dont have anything planned. I went to the store last night and bought our cool soft cooler for the trip. It is a thermos brand cooler and as big as my beach bag. You can dump ice in it if you want and it keeps stuff frozen supposedly. I am just glad to have a soft cooler, because now we have a cooler that can actually *fit* in the car. (This one will be packed in front of laci on the floorboard in the back.
Anyhow I am so stoked! TWO WEEKS!! That is great!!! I have a few things planned this weekend and then next week I have got to figure out how to keep myself from going crazy! Five days with nothing planned or going on is going to draaaaag by!

What day is it?
I am all confused after brian told me monday could be my tuesday, ugh! I see a garbage can out at the curb so I guess it must be wednesday! Well happy frikkin wednesday everyone! I am so bored out of my skull this week!!! I need to find *someting* to do today with the kids to get out of here, even if its just to kroger or target! I have had a big ol' pile of nothing to do this week! bleh! I did go tot he gym on Monday, and last night I biked 6 miles on my bike, and tonight its gym time again...even though the waffles I just preparred and snarfed down probably killed my last 3 days of working out but I still feel better! I am sitting here having my coffee, kids asleep, with my P's on one screen and the beautiful Daytona Beach live feed camera on another. How sweet it is! Yessiree!
I have made arrangements to stop in at my Aunt's house friday morning first since we will be pulling off the Holly Hill (isnt that funny, we live in Holly *M*ill) exit at about 9:30am, and by then i will REALLY enjoy a nice cup of coffee with my uncle and some relaxing befor eheading down to our room around noon. (Looks like my aunt will be working that morning and we will miss her by an hour....leave at 12:30 instead??? hmmmmm, lol) Anyhow I think that will be a nice pit stop and will give all of us a chance to stretch our legs...and did I mention fresh, hot, strong coffee?!?!!? So it is written! Uncle Mike, have a cup ready for me!! Woot!!
I have this nagging feeling that today *is* something. I am not sure what, but since I woke up I feel like I am forgetting something. Dangit! I hate when I do this! Oh well, hopefully whatever I obviously plan on missing doesnt make me out to be *too* big of a schmuck!! eek!
Yes I am in a torrential whirlwind of lists making already as well! My GOD how many times can on revise a packing list!?!? Its mind boggling! LOL. And we are planning and replanning and re-replanning how we wil leave in the morning of the 18th...thats 2 weeks and a day folks, stay with me...focus! focus!! We (or should I say "I" and take all the psychotic-ness myself??) have been going over lists, ideas, plans, and everything for a week now...and we still have 15 days left! wow!! can you tell "we" are SO excited?!?!?
Anyhow today is anothe rbig fat nothing day (except for whoever's birthday I must be forgetting) and I have the "I wanna shop for the trip" bug dancing in my pants!! I have a bit of a surprise planned for this weekend, and I am looking foward to 3 days off with brian! Next week will likely drag worse than this one because its FIVE days of nothing! LOL...egad!!
Anyhow I am off to do something other than sit here...

Another vacation decision....
We have decided to leave GA at 1:00 in the morning to head down. After previous trips with Christopher and Laci having never have been on a long trip we have made a choice to chance it all and leave at 1am. I will be doing the driving as I know the route the best and we will be coming in around 9-9:30am. Tired, yes, but we think this is our best chance to keep the kids asleep most of the trip, get laci to actually go back to sleep and have them stay on their scheduals. I will take a nap with Laci when she lays down in the afternoon and I hope that all will go smoother this way.
Now to research a nice place to have breakfast on 295.... :)
