So much to catch up on...

Its been a very long few days and oddly enough at the moment most seems too foggy to even remember what exactly it is that I needed to catch up here on. :(

Brian is gone, he left yesterday and he arrived safe and sound in Chicago early in the afternoon. Christopher loved the airport. He was amazed with the planes and the size of them. He loved all the things in the airport too. The big fire ants the dinosaur bones, and the luggage claim carousel and we had a big laugh when an empty baby carseat came up and there was no baby! LOL! He was sure the baby was playing on the conveyer belt below still. We hung out for a few and then said our goodbyes. We went home sad and heavy hearted. I got back and took Joey to my mom's house and my mom invited us over for dinner. She made turkey and mashed potatoes and peas. It was very good. I hung out til about 7:30 and then got the kids home, the dog in and fed, the kids baths done and both kids layed down. I finally layed down around 10:30 and didnt fall asleep til almost midnight. I kept thinking I heard stuff downstairs and I had myself almost in a panic. :( I talked to brian for a few and had Blue in the bed. I finally passed out and was up this morning at 6:00. I got the kids up early b/c we are a week from starting school and I want Christopher to get used to getting up early again. He did good this morning but was a bit fussy so I know he needs to "practice".
Today I have to get some laundry done, grocery shopping, and maybe wash the floors in the bathrooms upstairs and kitchen and diningroom. Its mu first full 24 hours now that I have ever done this completely alone and I am scared a little. I am praying for strength and that maybe tonight I may sleep a little better...with less lights on in the bedroom.

Last week is a blur to me. I dont remember anything at the moment to mention.

Christopher starts kindergarten in one week. Thats crazy to me. This friday I have his open house and I am excited to take him to it. I know he is going to love school. He is already so excited for everything with it and thinks his school is the bee's knees. :) I will post pics of his school and Brian leaving tonight.

I have to figure out what he is wearing on day one and this weekend we have to hit up the dolly madison for snacks for the lunch box. I have a lot to do and remember to do all by myself! Wish me luck.

Much love on my lonely Monday.

Sunday A.M

I am sitting downstairs alone in the quiet of the 7 o'clock hour on sunday morning b/c the dog barking woke me up and I was unable to go back to sleep. So I made me some coffee and some birthday cake (yeah yeah) and now I am catching up online. :)

The last few days have been pretty busy. Lets see...we will start with Thursday. Joey came back over for thursday night, friday, friday night, and went home on Saturday morning. He is always such a great person to be around. Everytime I see him it hurts to see him leave again because there just isnt enough time with him ever. The kids go ga ga when he is here and he leaves them either wound up as tight as they'll go, or wiped out passed out on him! Laci is his baby monkey, she clings to him like one while he plays video games or anything else. I swear she would build a nest on him if she could! Ha!
Friday was a pretty dull day to start. Laci had eaten something bad and gave her a bad case of the runs from about midnight Thursday night to friday night. She was miserable most of the day bc of it. I was tired and cranky and not feeling very special most of the day. Brian came home and didnt seem like there was anything special about the day and I made it quite clear I was ready to eat and go to bed since the day was sucking so bad. (except for the dunkin donuts coffee and donuts brian go us for breakfast, and having Joey there) We decided to get Chili's to go and I placed the order and Brian took the kids to go get it. About 30 mins after he left the door opened and my mom and steve came in with gifts! I was so surprised...I was sitting there a mess in PJs by this time! They got me a gift card, and a picture frame with pics of them and the kids, and a new serial killers book! I was stoked!!! Then Brian showed up. He kissed me and grinned bc he knew the whole time. We sat around and ate and while we were eating the door bell rang and my friend Buffi from across the street had come over and brought me a piece of coconut cake! (my fav!). My mom said she felt bad I didnt have a big cake and Brian had joked about not being allowed to make one from scratch. I said it was fine, and I loved my surprise bday party even without cake. We finished eating and we all were talking and brian started putting up the food so I didnt notice he went into the garage for a few. He came out with a cake and candles! Everyone started singing and Laci sat on my lap to help me blow out the candles. (trick candles to the kid's delight) Buffi left and we all ate some cake. Then my mom and Steve left and then the kids went to bed. Me, Brian and Joey stayed up playing Ghettopoly and he whipped us both bad. Then me and Brian went to bed b/c we had T-ball in the morning. It was a great day after all!!

Saturday we got a late start. Brian left with Christopher and me Joey and Laci went to get gas in my car and breakfast. We got to the Y and the kids were playing great! The temps were so low it was actually chilly!!! I am LOVING these surprise weather days!!! Joey helped with Laci so I could watch the game better and the parents were cheering more which was nice! Next weekend is the last game and we are having a little party afterwards. I am sad its over so fast, but Soccer starts in September and we will be there!

After T-ball Brian took Laci to Cumming, and me and Christopher took Joey home. Then we spent 6 hours school shopping from Target, to the Mall, to the School Box, to Khols to Walmart! Then after aaaaaaall that, he wanted to go get books at the library too! Whew! I was an exhausted blob last night!

We had an issue with the HOA's BYOB pool party last night but a call into the local cops by us and many others nipped it right in the bud! Loves it! HA!!! HA!!! HA!!!

So now, here it is, a quiet Sunday morning. Today is groceries and playing! Thats it! No big errands! I wanna relax with my family in the yard and just have a nice day! It is one week from Brian leaving for Chicago, and 2 weeks from christopher starting Kindergarten. Tonight we start his 2 week countdown school avent calendar that we got from registration back in may. :) So close now! Tomorrow morning I am getting up and taking the kids early to a place called Field's Landing (you should search it....its here in canton ga). I have a feeling they will love it!

Happy Sunday everyone!

XOXOX!

Weekend Recap...

Yesterday I paused in honor of my grandma, so I will do the weekend recap today. :)

Friday I woke up feeling the need to accomplish something! I got up and when I seen the weather was a breezy 68* outside (man am I going to be a busy bee when september rolls around!) I put on some shorts and took the kids out and got cracking on the garage. (more like garBage at that time!) Anyhow 6 hours and a bad cut to christopher's leg thanks to falling on his broken pedal on his old bike later the garage was and still is a work of art! I was a sweaty, hot, nasty sticky, exhausted mess by the time I was done but my garage hasnt been this clean and child friendly in a year! *cue heavens angels singing* So that was my big accomplishment on that day.

Saturday was T-ball. We had a very few show up and I think this age group just isnt into it as much as I had hoped. We did get his pictures back and they are sooooo cute!!! They did pitch hit this time and christopher was able to get a few hits in, but needed the tee as well. After the game we hung out and played on the playground and relaxed for a while. We went home and had lunhc and got laci layed down for her nap. After Laci's nap we decided to go to the lake. We went to a new area called "Victoria's Landing" and it was a LOT closer and pretty nice. The kids had a good time playing in the sand and water and we stayed til dusk and me and brian got to hold hands and watch the sun make diamonds on the water as it was starting to set and the kids play in the sand and just talk. We brought some little ceasars pizzas with us and had dinner there. It worked out nicely. :)

Sunday was another project day. We decided to paint our kitchen counters (yes, paint...) and we thought worst case we replace them in a few months anyhow since we have it planned and budgeted for when the refi happens, or they turn out good. Well....they turned out GREAT! Amazing! And waaaaaay better than my highest most skeptical expectations! So good in fact that I am *not* replacing them now! No need to! They look amazing and now my mom is going to come help us get the glass tile back splash up. And when Brian is in Chicago I am going to paint the kitchen too. The color is called "Cinnamon Spice" by Glidden. We ended the day just piddling around, adding new pine straw outside in the islands and cleaning up some.

Yesterday I did NOTHING! LOL. An entire day of nothing and I felt so lazy and bad for it last night so today I am determined to get something accomplished.

This saturday after T-ball we, me and Christopher are spending the whole day together school shopping! I am so excited!! :) We are going to have lunch out together and get everything except his shoes. Joey is spending the night tonight since he ended up having a virus and not mono and is well and not contageous. Then he is spending the night on Friday for my Bday too. He is watching the T-ball game too and then I am dropping him off on our way out for the day.

Welp, I need to get off here and get my crap done so I can get Joey soon.

Have a nice Tuesday!

Friday!

Thank God its FRIDAY!!!! It has been a long week. I am excited to say that I seen news last night that we are moving into an El Nino pattern this year and we are expected to have a winter close to that of 1997-1998. That means snow! and ice storms!! and cold wet christmas mornings!!! YAY!!! Pah-LEASE let the NOAA be correct on this and let us have a real true wet cold winter for a welcomed change!
In other news.
It has been presented to us to have a once in our family chance to have a semi paid vacation in the Smoky Mountains during Christopher's Fall break in September, and with Brian already approved for the end of that week off, and our much needed break from life as a family, we have decided to make my first ever trip to Tennessee instead of Florida in September. I will be making a solo trip in October to florida instead. It was a hard choice to make, but in the end I chose this for a few reasons and I think this is the right choice. I will be in florida just 2 short weeks after the Tennessee trip so its not like I am not going to see my grandparents in Daytona, I am just moving the trip by a few weeks and shortening the load by 3. ;)
I am really excited about Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. I have never been to TN and I am so excited to see the mountains. I am really stoked and the kids are too. We are going from September 23rd, through the 27th.
Anyhow I have a ton to do today and T-ball tomorrow.
I hope you all (I always act like I have 300 readers...when I likely dont have 3, ha!) have a wonderful weekend!

Good Morning...

Its wednesday I think..at this point my days are all running into one another. I think its time I start planning mornings and afternoons out with the kids in preparation for season changes and laci getting older. I think from now on Mondays maybe will be my mall day, wednesdays Monkey Joes and Fridays something, I dunno yet.

Well my summer is on a roll now, my Mountain Hybiscus is in full bloom and the humidity is back in full swing after 2 weeks of cooler weather and dry cool breezes. But along with the humidity came the daily rain, but I dont mind. Its too muggy for my kids outside anyhow right now.

We got a bit of bad news yesterday. Brians class has been changed to the 26th-7th instead and it looks like he will now miss Christopher's first day of Kindergarten and his open house. He is very upset as you can imagine, because even though it would have sucked to miss my birthday and our anniversary at least we get one of those every year, but this is the only time christopher will start kindergarten and I know he is hurting. :(

Yesterday for Brians birthday we bought an undecorated sheet cake at publix and I let the kids decorate it with frosting in a spray can thing, and sprinkles, and colored sugar. It was a masterpiece by the end and brian loved it. I made fried shrimp and hushpuppies and french fries for a bday dinner and we just had a nice quiet night at home together. :)

Today is raining again, but I am not complaining...and I am trying to decide it I wanna do a mall afternoon or monkey joes today. We shall see how the day progresses. I know I have a ton of crap to do around here today too so I better get off here and get to gettin'!

wow.

Monday...

Never got the pictures fixed. :(

6 days til Brian's business trip, I am starting to panic a little. And if one more person tells me how "its not that bad" or "I will be fine" I am going to Chuck Norris their face!!!! I *know* am not going to curl up and die when he leaves...DUH....but it is still going to suck horrificly, and maybe I may miss my husband so much because we love each other so flippin' much?!?? Just maybe???

Anyhow tomorrow is Brian's birthday. I have a small surprise planned but not much since I have to be tight with money since I will be needing to get all christopher's School clothes while he is gone, and groceries for 2 weeks and everything else while he is gone...and money is already tight this month. *sigh* Thank God training is almost over and he may get a small raise!!

I am cleaning and organizing today and then tonight taking it easy.

Hope you all have a beautiful Monday. We are getting more rain! Yay!

Sunday!

Hope you all had a beautiful weekend. Ours was pretty busy with Brian having a 3 day! Friday we went to Brians grandparents house and the kids had a great time. We BBQ'd and played outside a lot. The kids loved when we took them on the 2 golf carts and raced all around the yard together. We stayed almost all day and came home pretty pooped!
Yesterday we had a ton to do during the day to get ready for last night. We ran around getting things together and parked the truck around 11am in the shopping center. Then we went home and played around and Laci started using a scooter! We let her take a very late nap and she didnt wake up til almost 5pm! We then packed the car up with everything and coolers and stuff and headed up to riverstone. We actually got a parking spot for the car pretty close too! We unpacked the car and got the bed of the truck all done up in the back with blankets and pillows. We had a dinner of peanut butter and jelly, red white and blue little debbie cakes, and chips. The kids colored pictures with me, blew bubbles, and popped lots of snap pops from the back of the truck. As it started to get dark we let them play with the sparklers too. As dusk came in we all snuggled in the truck and found out that our parking spot was front row to the show! The kids did amazing! They screamed and shrieked and jumped up and down with their hands in the air with excitement! The loud booms didnt scare either one! The show was good and lasted almost 40 mins with a decent grand finale. The pictures were amazing, and even in the traffic home the kids were fabulous for me! We got home around 10:30 and there was still a lot of fireworks going off too close to the house for the kids to sleep so we sat outside in the driveway til 11 doing more of our own fireworks. Finally we laid the kids down around 11:20. I didnt get to sleep as well as everyone else did and finally passed out around 1am. Laci was up early and we have been blessed with some much needed rain today.
Now for my sad news...
I got up this morning and looked at all my beautiful pictures on my camera. Then decided to make a disk since I was getting up there in pics on the memory card. I opened the camera on the computer and went through looking at all of them one by one with no problem. Then i put in a disk, high lighted and copied all the files of pics and pasted them in the disk window. Copying started. Then when it was done I found out that for some reason ALL but 3 pictures from last night and all but 4 from Monkey Joes on wednesday are gone. The computer says that the format cannot be read...and then to my absolute horror I see that for some unknown reason the pictures are ALL GONE on my camera card!!!! That has never happened before!!! So now, all my beautiful amazing, sweet pictures are GONE!! ALL GONE!!!!! I am tearing up again just typing it. :( I just dont know what to even do. I am in complete shock. :( Ugh!!! I am so so sad. So I have no pictures to share this morning except whats in my head. And they were all beautiful. :(

Anyhow my good news is that Laci is completely potty trained! It was hard to do, but it done and she hasnt had a diaper on at all, even over night, in 3 days now!!! I am so proud of her!

Well its sunday, one week from now I will be crying again saying goodbye to Brian at the airport. I will have to bring both kids now because Joey has possible Mononeucleosis and is very very sick. So I probably wont have much company while Brian is gone. :( Brian's birthday is Tuesday and we will be going out for dinner as a family now instead of the date I did have planned with a babysitter. Oh well.

Anyhow hope you all had a beautiful 4th of July. I know I did!! :)

Happy July!!!

And on to our second half of the year! Yesterday was a gorgeous day!!! Just wild weather wise. It feels like late late summer, on the cusp of fall. The breeze was blowing, and on monday it was even too chilly to sit in the pool. It was incredible. Low humidity and mild june/july temps in the upper 80s with a cool breeze. Such a mean trick mother nature is playing!! Ha!!! At the moment it isnt supposed to get above 90* for the next 10 days...even a few at 86!! wow!!
So its July, today I am baking banana bread this morning and cleaning up and playing outside, and then this afternoon i am taking the kids to play at Monkey Joes. They havent been there in so long and I know they will have a good time! :) I have my windows open right now airing the house out and my internal guage swears its late september! *sigh* I know what will happen, I will get all into the 80s in July thing and it will switch over night to 110*!! HAHAHA!
Me and Brian decorated the yard for July last night and it all looks beautiful. The flag is so pretty! I cant believe I have never put one up before! And I have a very special sign in my island that says "Pruitt 249" on it! It really stands out nicely and I already had people asking where I got it from! :D
We are 11 days from Brian going to Chicago, a few days away from his birthday and later in the month I have my birthday and our wedding anniversary. Then its open house for kindergarten and school!!! Craziness!
This weekend we are going to brians grandparents on Friday and then Saturday we are going to pack the truck up with blankets and pillows, a radio, some sparklers, and a cooler and we are going up to riverstone to watch the fireworks as a family for the first time! :) I am really excited for it! Brian has friday off this week so this is like my Thursday which is really nice. I am doing the cooking at the grandparents this weekend and I am a tiny bit nervous. I am making hamburgers and tuna mac salad and corn on the cob. It should be good! :)
Well kids are up and crazy already and that bread aint gonna cook itself! Have a beautiful day!
