Tomorrow! Finally!

More than ever I am needing 5 days in the woods to clear my brain and move on with the start of the new year. New year for most people is the turn of the year in January at midnight...but for me it has always seemed like my birthday was the turn of the new year, and now that I am a mom of school aged kids again it seems like the new year is actually the start of the school year. This year I have quite a big plate. I am getting as active as I can be on the PTA this year. I love being involved with the school and classes and all the incredible things that Christopher is now doing that I remember doing, or hearing about when I was in school. Every day is a new nostalgic journey for me, and it brings me a lot of joy. I am also praying I get to be room mom again, I really loved it last year and I know this year will be even better! I also have Laci starting in school too and it will give me a small break to keep caught up this year around here and get some peace and quiet sometimes. I am as excited for her as she is for herself! Everyday its the same question "momma...I going to school today? I very 'cited!" I am so happy she is embracing this. Seeing her at the tour the other day playing with the other kids and taking a lead right off the bat made my heart happy. She is going to do just fine and I am happy for her. This next week is going to fly by. We leave tomorrow (finally!) and then its 5 days in the cabin in the woods, and then when we get back I have open house for Christopher, working open house for Kindergarten with the sneak a peak day Friday, and a consignment sale, then the weekend, then school! Craziness!
In my infinate wisdom of doing things I wanted to back off of the things to do list to not be left with Thursday dragging by, and held off on everything...well...I did that a little too long and instead of working on stuff yesterday, I spent most the day at the lake with my kids, and Jennifer and her son, and now its Thursday and my house is a wreck, there is laundry to do, and I havent packed the first thing! HA!!! So at least I know today wont drag by. ;) I have a ton to do.
It wouldn't be the Pruitt household, however, if Clover hadnt hurt his leg day before yesterday and is now limping around, and Christopher wasnt on the couch saying he has a bellyache and refusing breakfast. *sigh* Lets pray this is just something small and we arent treating the stomach flu or something while on "vacation" instead of fishing at a cabin. GAH!
Well, tomorrow is me and Brian's wedding anniversary. 4 years has seemed to fly by in an instant. Oddly enough we tend to celebrate our dating anniversary more than the wedding one, lol. I am trying to come up with something special to still do tomorrow even though we will be driving. I am thinking we will get the kids in bed and sit outside and enjoy the sounds of nature with no light but the moon and our citronela candles and just relax and breathe....I am so looking foward to just breathing for a few days....
Christopher is upstairs in the bathroom "trying to vomit" so I guess this will be my last entry until we get back! Happy week everyone!!!

Another busy weekend!

Havent been on much last few days because thanks to Netflix and Nintendo Wii, we now have to most incredible option of being rediculous couch potatoes ever invented! We spent most of the weekend lounging around relaxing and watching movies and Tv through the wii. However, its now Monday, exactly 2 mondays before school starts, and 4 days before we leave for Murphy, NC! I am super excited and scared all at the same time about the vacation. I have mever planned a vacation completely sight unseen like this and its my first of a permanent new way of planning vacations in places other than Florida, since we likely will never visit there again. There are too many other places to go and to see in the world, and time goes by so fast that before I know it, my kids will be grown and "family vacations" will be a thing of the past...I just pray my first attempt at this doesnt end up Griswold Vacation on me.
Anyhow I have a ton to do today, but wanted to catch up. Thursday I was taken out for my birthday by some girlfriends. Me, Brooke, Tiffany, Francis, and Karrie all went to eat at On The Border. It was fun for the most part other than the service and the way it all ended...but I had a good long time there with lots of hearty belly laughs that I have been needing so bad. Tiffany was nice enough to be my DD and boy did I need one! Ha! After "dinner" we made a group poll and ended up at "The Place" on Towne Lake and walked in thinking it would be awesome and it was LAME!!! Hahaha!!! There was about 15 people in there (most of which were 40 years my senior) and it was Karaoke night, and it was awful!!! They insisted on me going up and having the bar sing me happy birthday and I was thankful it was so dark since I could feel the sweat beading up on my nose and ears buring with the deep shade of Red I surely was. I called it an early night and was home by 11:30pm. I came home to a pretty bad issue at home, but thats a private matter that isnt even worthy of adding to my beautiful blog...like so much other garbage in my life, I will keep it off here.
Friday was fun....Friday was a busy busy day that left me with a swollen ankle and a lot of bags in my car and a child who didnt look like him anymore! Ha! We finished all Christopher's school shopping, including shorts, shirts, shoes, bookbags, lunchboxes, and more! Laci also picked out a book bag, and I will get to that in a minute. After lots of shopping, me and the kids ate lunch at Chilis and then we went home to wait for Brian to get off work. After he got home (and we had a chance to cool off from our 100* day) we all packed up nice, fresh and clean and went to visit Laci's school!! We have made a family decision to put her in Pre-K3 for 3 days a week for 5 hours a day. Its preschool with Pre-K curriculum, and is at a nice school just a 3 minute drive from door to door from Christopher's school (on a regular afternoon in the summer with no traffic, lol) The school is Discovery Point of River Green and is a very very nice, clean happy facility. She will go Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8am to 1pm. She is super excited and cant wait to start! (Aug 3) She got a Princess bookbag and a few new shorts and skirts so she felt she looked "new" too. We went and did a tour and got her paperwork, and tomorrow we go back for our second tour where she can meet the teacher and see the class up and working with kids in it. She didn't want to leave Friday and was very upset that she wasnt staying to play. Ha!! Its not cheap, but a possibly neccessary step to assure she has a Pre-K spot here in Cherokee county next fall. So we will make the cuts where we have to and work on finding more things to do that are free instead to be sure this happens. Then, after that experience, we went to Great Clips because Christopher was looking like she shaggy dog and said his hair was too hot. He needed a cut for School and told me he wanted his hair short to be "more handsomer". So we went and looked through a book and by the time we left my baby boy who has had the same haircut since he was a baby looked about 3 years older!!! He got almost all of it cut off, left it a little longer on top and the front of his bangs flip up with gel to look spikey. He loves it (and I will admit I was shocked at how incredibly MORE gorgeous my boy could be) and I am happy...now I just have to get used to man grooming him in the mornings before school, lol.
Saturday I turned the big 28! Woot, lol! We started the day going to IHOP here in Canton since they just opened a new one, and it was very nice. The kids ate well, and I was stuffed! Then we went to the bookstore and I got some more easy reader books for Christopher, and then we went home because of the rain. We just hung out all day long at the house until dinner time and we went to Red Lobster. We ended the night early and I was happy to get in bed. (at 1am..)
Yesterday we went to my mom's house for a BBQ and to celebrate Father's day, my Birthday and Brian's Birthday. It was fun as always and we killed the whole day off there!
Now its Monday again, and I have school tours, grocery shopping, playdates, the lake on wednesday, Fritz going to a new foster, and a crap load of packing to do before Friday! Egad! LOL!
But for now, I am going to drink my coffee and have a nice morning.
Happy Week Everyone!

That week went fast!

I am so far behind on so many things on here it isnt funny! Lets see....

Well, Brian's birthday was nice, the kids made him a cake, and we went to dinner at Ryan's and everyone seemed to have a good time. He was a little sad to be turning 30, but he is still upbeat about it all. On the 8th I had a big meeting with Southern Cross and the N. Ga GSD Club, and it was nice to see everyone from both places. I got caught up with everyone and I am going to continue to be a member with the NGGSDC, and I am going to skip the training I think.Friday and Saturday night my mom and Steve had the kids and it was the most boring rediculous weekend ever!!!
Friday night started out with us going to go fishing at the lake....we had just got settled in and in the water to fish when a severe thunderstorm forced us out. Then on the way home we ran out of gas and had to be saved by some friends of ours. Then while we waited for them to come it stopped raining, so we decided to try a different dock and fish....we sat for 2.5 hours and it was nice and calming and relaxing...but the fishing sucked...I ended up getting bit by a spider and we called it a night. We stopped for food on the way home and got home to find my order wrong...oh well, lol, it was deffinatey bedtime! Saturday we were bored to death! We wandered around some stores and when we thought we would spend *more* time in a store just browsing like we never get to do with the kids, we actually spent *less* time since our time was more sufficient! LOL! We went for dog food and came back home....I even took a nap! Ha! Then we decided in the evening to go to dinner (longhorns, I ate too much!ugh!) and then try fishing again. Fishing was just as boring as the night before except when the hotdogs sitting on my towel in the woods were attacked by a herd of fire ants and I had to abandon the hot dogs AND the towel for fear of being bitten horribly if I tried to shake them off! Then we went home and cleaned, lol, and got laundry done, and got in bed early. Brian woke me with breakfast in bed on Sunday and the newspaper. Then we went to get the kids and all was right in my world again...I missed them so so bad!! I realized that my life may be a complete chaotic mess sometimes...but its what completes me, and I wouldnt have it any other way! :)
Over night on Sunday the pregnant kitty, Mina, had her babies. She had 4 and she is a horrible mom! She doesnt like to sleep with them, and she doesnt like to feed them often, and she doesnt like to be in the room with them. I have to force her to stay in the closet so she feeds them, otherwise as far as being worried about their well being...that doesnt happen! I am honestly worried I will eventually have to hand feed them...God I hope not! But they are very cute, 2 calico girls like her, one grey tabby girl, and one orange tabby boy :) The kids are in love with them though and want to keep them all (NO!!!) and want to sit in there constantly, lol! It is so cute to see them with them in their hands... ♥ !
Monday I had a huge meeting in the evening with the PTA stuff for Liberty. I had an awesome time and met some great ladies, and got on some committees finally (like the Welcoming Committee I will be working with on the Kindergarten Sneak a Peak day!) and I will be quite busy this school year!
I am also working on getting Laci into Pre-K-3 at a local daycare where she will start going to school 2 days a week for 4 hours a day starting at the beginning of the school year! She is very excited and I am too for her. She and Christopher both got bookbags yesterday and I got all Christopher's school supplies bought (and a bunch for home....I mean at 25c for a pack of 24 Crayola Crayons...I gotta stock up!) Christopher chose a Bakugan book bag and Army camo lunch box, and Laci chose a Princess book bag and if she can have a lunch (or needs one) she will get a ladybug lunchbox. :) My babies are growing up! I am looking foward to 2 mornings free for me as well...I am also going to watch kids this year for the weeks they have off I think to make a few extra bucks...I am not 100% on that idea just yet though.
Yesterday other than bookbag buying we also went to see Dispicable Me in the theater. The kids and I loved it! What a great movie! Thats 2 incredibly great kids movies this summer, Toy Story 3 and this one. Love them!
Today I am taking it easy. I have a headache and I am due for my monthly mother nature visit, so I just want to chill. Today starts our single digit countdown to vacation! I am so excited!!! 9 more days and them 5 whole days of bliss and relaxation in the mountains with some of my most favorite people in the whole world! (and Clover!) We leave next Friday and dont come home tile Wednesday! Then Thursday is my open house, Friday I am working the other open house, and the weekend we will be getting ready for school on Monday! Wowza!
Welp, I am glad I finally caught up on here. I am just so busy loving my life and being busy with my incredible family that its easy for me to realize 3-4 days has slipped by in a blink! I know with fall quickly approaching my blog will be the extent of my online life I am sure! I know we will be so so busy and non-stop as always, but I *love* my life! ♥ ♥ ♥

Seems like its been a week...

What a BUSY few days! Whew! Today we enter the TEENS until the vacation! YAY!!!! I am so excited and so ready to get away! We added Fritz into our life on Saturday and he is a doll! 12 weeks of oure GSD energy, lol! I am sure it wont take him long to get into a "furever" home. :) We considered the fact that we may adopt this one ourselves, but Brian agrees that it just isnt that instand chemistry that tells us he is the one, so he goes on petfinder tomorrow. Saturday night us, Tiffany and the family, and Doug and his kids all went up to Riverstone to watch the big firework display. We had our new picnic blanket and put it right on the parkinglot ground, we had grilled hot dogs and brats, corn on the cob, beans, sweet tea, cole slaw, cupcakes, brownies, and watermelon! We all ate like kings and the kids had a ton of little toys and things to keep them entertained til dark, like barrel of monkies, fart goop, squealing balloon rockets, slapping sticky hands, glow braclets and necklaces, candy necklaces and gummy army men. We also had our fair share of firecrackers, sparklers, snakes, and more! I laughed out loud, danced with the two toddler girls, and had a blast! By far one of my favorite 4th to date. :)
Yesterday was oddly cool, with a nice breeze. Me and Brian sat under the shade tree in the front for hours while Laci played inside or out, and Christopher played in the house since his rash keeps him in. We would rotate the dogs and just sit in the shade and enjoy life. It was a great day! Joey spent the night Friday and Saturday night and he seemed to enjoy all the festivities too...and even had a little shade tree action with us before going home. I am so proud of that kid, he has great things in his future coming.
Last night wasnt so great with the dogs and kids and fireworks til 3am, but I still managed to get my kids in bed at 7pm and they slept on and off til fireworks were over and then til 8am. I was up at 6:30 scrubbing puppy poopy cages, and having soffee and quiet time and now everyone is awake and Brian made breakfast for us. Today is another cool day and it is a terrible tease...I know the heat and humidity is coming back, but for today I am going to enjoy it! I am headed back outside in a few under the shade tree! :)

Started July off with a bang!

Started the month off at the doctors office with Christopher...he has fifth's disease. *sigh* So he is living life like a vampire for the next 2 weeks or so to avoid inflaming the full body rash he is covered in....waiting for Laci to wake up with it today. Then I felt bad so since I had been to Bartow Animal Control the day before temp testing 2 GSDs (Boswell and Jigs) and fell i love with the incredible baby kittens there, I decided to take Christopher and Laci to pick a kitten each since we think we are ready since Blue is never home and Chip just lives in the bathroom (its like his wierd quirk..he lives in there almost 24 hours a day...and if you pull him out he cries as the door to get back in) so we go to look and Christopher pics an adorable siamese mix who is about 7 weeks old, and Laci couldnt make up her mind...so I made it up for her....I adopted the pregnant Calico. I know for a fact that any and all cats left will be euthanized on Tuesday the 6th and I just couldnt stand the idea of a pregnant mother getting gassed. Brian was good with it, so we took her home....on the way home she started the first signs of labor! LOL! But so far no kittens...she just hangs in the closet (please not another Chip!) and purrs and makes biscuts all the time....I think we will have kittens by Saturday though.....it was meant to be...they would have scooped her and her newborn babies into a tupperware tub and into the gassing boxes and killed the whole lot on Tuesday had we not saved her. So now I am trying to get people lined up to take them!
Today I may or may not get kittens, but I *am* getting a new foster puppy! Fritz, the mange boy, is finally well enough and cleared by a vet to come to my house. He is 14 weeks old and hell on wheels...should be fun! :) I know Clover is going to be estatic!!! I am super excited but not looking foward to the constant care a new puppy takes....I will be very busy to say the least. Its easier to foster in the spring or fall when its nice out...2 black dogs dont wanna be in the yard all day when its 80% humidity and 97* out! Joey is spending the night tonight and tomorrow and going with us to watch fireworks saturday night. Its going to be fun. I finally get my kids close to a normal bedtime again and they will be up all night again, LOL!
Welp I better go enjoy the peace and quiet for a few before all hell breaks loose at the Pruiit household! Ha!!!
