Happy Happy!

new year or happy new year Pictures, Images and Photos
Happy New Year's Eve!!!
Hope you all have a beautiful, safe, and happy New Year's Eve!
Wow! Its been a year! Another amazing, crazy, cooky, wild ride from start to end. Thank you all for sharing it with us and for ringing in the new year with us even if you are far away. 2008 proved to be stressful, scary, and sometimes downright mean to us, but in it was embedded all the magical moments that made it all worth it! Laci's first birthday, watching my mom say "I do!" our first trip to daytona for a week as a family of four, christopher's birthday, playing the machines with my grandparents, watching my cousin missy wear those awful glasses at the pool, seeing my family in florida 3 times!, christopher starting pre-k, and Laci taking her first steps have all be a few.
2009 comes in fresh and new with a whole glow around it with the chance of greatness! We surely will have some sad moments and maybe some tough patches, but in the end it will again be all these amazing moments that make the year feel loved and worth it all!
As they say.. "Life is not measured in the number of breaths we take, but in the moments that take our breath away." No truer words have ever been spoken.
From My family to yours...
Happy New Year! and God bless you!

Oh Monday! Where did *YOU* come from?

Hello again all my imaginary readers, lol, its MONDAY! Oddly I am actually kind of glad because even though I miss my husband today after having 5 days in a row off with him...I am very much needing some normalcy! :P

So lets see....

Christmas eve was fun. David's girlfriend was sick and at the hospital so David stayed with her instead of coming to our house, and then he missed Christmas too by staying with her at home to make her feel better and spend the day knowing the real meaning of the day. It was a thoughtful move and although he was missed, I was happy he made the choice he did. Joey did come over though and we had a good time of playing Guitar Hero (which I am unable to do at all) and playing games and playing christmas music. We had a big turkey dinner and then pumpkin pie and chocolate chip cookies! I also found out the best game in the world is called "Pass the Pigs"!
We finally got the house prepared for Santa with milk and cookies, carrots for the reindeer and a key under the front mat. Christopher fell asleep in record time in his own room and then me and Brian and Joey got everything done for Christmas morning.
Christmas day was a hectic blur, lol. We got up christmas morning and went downstairs. Once Laci seen her kitchen it was all over. If we asked her if she wanted to open a gift she would smack at us and say "no, no" and turn her back and go back to playing. Christopher was a bit overwhelmed but very excited to see how well he did between us all and Santa. Joey opened his gift from us and it was Laci all over, once he seen his new Guitar Hero World Tour he was done with everything else! LOL! We opened in spurts with a little coffee and breakfast in between. The funniest thing all morning was when Brian gave me one of my gifts (the Topher must have been there to buy) and it was an awesome Kitchenaid Santuko knife. The he hands me a smaller box and says "look mommy....its another knife!!" hahahahaha! Which it was the sister knife to the first and made my whole morning! (reminded me of "Clock Radio")
Anyhow after all the gifts were opened, and most opened from their boxes all over my livingroom we relaxed and then my mom and steve got here with a ton more stuff! My mom and Steve went way over what they should have and bought me an AWESOME zombie book and a beautiful small red point and shoot style Nikon camera! Totally unbelievable! I felt so bad that I hadnt spent nearly as much on them as they did on all of us! :( But we all had a good time and they tried out the guitar hero and before yo knew it we were late on leaving to Cumming and Laci wasnt napping!
My mom, Steve, and Joey left and we ran around to get ready and left to Brian's grandparents house. We got there late and Laci still hadnt napped so we knew she wouldnt. It was a whirlwind of food, laughter, and presents. I played out in the yard with the kids because it was such a warm sunny day that we had to take advantage of it. We finally left there at about quarter to five.
We got home and ate leftovers from Christmas eve and put more stuff together, played with the kids and cleaned the livingroom and kitchen. Laci was in bed by 6:30 and Christopher not far behind her.

Friday we woke up to the sound of Christopher throwing up. He had eaten some bad lunchmeat at the grandparents house we thing and spent the entire day throwing up in his room. Poor guy. It was a yucky rainy day and it was gloomy in the house. So we cranked on the radio and cleaned and took down the christmas tree. Christopher was a trooper and did great in his room all day. Then around 4 in the afternoon he felt a lot better and quit throwing up. By 7 at night he was back to his old self and starving. He ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and some juice and was playing til late at night. Friday night David and Kara came over and we did presents again and talked for a while and then they went home and we played with Christopher until bedtime.

Saturday we cleaned some more and hung around the house because it was raining...again...and nasty. The kids werent having shopping so after a failed attempt at Target I took everyone home and went grocery shopping. We spent th rest of the day jamming out to some classic rock and playing with toys and relaxing.

Sunday was pretty much the same. I went to the gym and did some shopping at Ulta's big after christmas sale and got some new makeup. My mom and Steve stopped by for a few and then the rest of the day was the same as the last few. We got the kids in bed early and watched Hancock and went to bed. I didnt sleep well last night and I am pretty tired today but excited for the new year coming!

My best gift was from Brian this year. He has a babysitter (Joey) for us while me and him got to Atlanta in January and go to lunch at a place there and take some pictures and then we are going to the BODIES EXHIBIT!!!!! I am still freaking out about that! I have been wanting to go forever!!!! It will be such a nice thing to do with Brian and I am super excited! You can look it up http://www.bodiestheexhibition.com/ I cannot wait! We also walked away from the week with another date night or day thanks to Bre and Chase who drew our names in the christmas drawing, as well as New Years Night date with Joey babysitting again and my mom saying this year she would start babysitting more!!! I am so happy I could cry!

Anyhow we are almost at the end of the year now. Soon it will be 2009, one of the biggest years ever for the Four Ps in a Pod! I am so ready and excited and I have a great feeling this will be an amazing year! Its a good sign that I havent gotten the after christmas blues that I am usually always plagued with and I am cranking the classic rock tunes instead of hibernating to sad stuff or country music. I feel like I am my own Groundhog in a way b/c I can read the upcoming year based on the week between Christmas and New Years and this year is looking great!!!

So Thank you for sharing this crazy ride so far! Onward to 2009!!

Monday again?!?

Well, here it is! The monday before Christmas! WOW! What a fast approaching day! Its a very cold 19* outside this morning with a windchill of only 8*, but it wont last long as Christmas day is looking like 60s and rain. I am so over the rain. It was wierd to see the sun yesterday and now just like that it will be gone again, bleh! The warm I can suck it up and get over, but with the rain, that just makes things icky and nasty! yuck yuck yuck!

This weekend was my big chance to collect bankets from family and I walked away empty handed. I am so saddened by this and will do a better job next year! I will be passing them either tonight or wednesday night and brian will be passing 2 tomorrow morning on his way to work.

Speaking of work, Brian has been given off Christmas eve for the first time (although it came without pay! bleh!) and already had time off on friday so he is looking at a 5 day weekend starting tomorrow night! Its cool that today is like his Thursday! It makes mondays a little less icky! haha!

So its Monday, christopher starts his winter break today and I am not putting anyone on much of a schedual for the next 2 weeks. I am going to let them both sleep in and stay up late if they want and I know they are looking foward to christmas too! I am done wrapping finally, except for one last thing I have to pick up tonight from walmart for Christopher. Then I will be done! I am hoping my brothers can stay christmas eve since I thought it would be fun if we all stayed up late playing wii games while waiting for santa! :) I am also making a big turkey dinner christmas eve and I am excited as much as the kids this year! ha!

Well I hope you all have a very merry day and enjoy each others company!
I love you all!

Happy Foggy Friday!

Its foggy outside...but finally clearing up in my head! Its Friday! I love friday! I woke up with no headache for the first time in almost 4 days this morning, my cramps have subsided, its warm and yucky out, but I dont care b/c I cant change it! Plus it will be a hard freeze sunday night in the teens again! (so very wierd, but oh so normal for Georgia weather).

Today is Christopher's last day of school for his winter break. He is off for a little over 2 weeks. He is very excited counting down the days til Christmas on our calendar and was giddy when we explained that he and Santa have the same first name! (Kris*topher* Kringle) That just made his morning this morning! Traffic was good for Brian and he got to work on time and when Laci gets up we are going shopping! I have to finish everyone this weekend so I have a lot to do!

My tracker tells me that Mr and Mrs Gardner in Daytona got a package delivered this week. Hmmm...

So its a mere 5 days from Christmas Eve, and already I am ready for it to be here! I cant wait to see my kids' eyes light up when they get a gander at the motherload coming to them! As usual I am sure I will be a tad embarassed at my lack of control on Christmas eve when I look at the finished product, but I feel in a way I live through them now while I can still afford gifts that make them fill with glee and because I was so dirt poor growing up that to me this is magical. So, no, it may not be the healthiest outlet for a pent up sad little 5 year old girl in me, but it could be a lot worse! HA!!

I am not so pleased with the weather, but the change is a comin' and thats all I can really look at when it comes to the outside. My christmas lights still twinkle just as bright and the days keep passing us by so what can you do? :)

Hope you all have a beautiful and blessed Friday!
I love you all!

Longest week ever!

This week has been dragging! Between my migraine and small other headaches, PMS, rain, and being cooped up in the house in the warm muggy rainy weather, this week is crawling by! I thought it was finally Friday this morning, but just checked and its not...its Thursday. Yesterday was so warm I was sweating! It was 74* by my guage and we should get about the same for the next 2 days. GRRR! I am so sad that the whole country is seeing amazing winter weather but US! (well and part of alabama and florida of course) I read this morning that Las Vegas got 8 inches of snow over night!!! what?!?!? Where is the fairness there?? Why am I sitting in shorts with my ceiling fans on, and the desert is getting over 1/2 a foot of snow??? ugh!

Anyways, I am finally getting on the tail end of my to do list. I finished the teachers, front office staff, and girlfriend for Christopher last night and today he delivered the goods. :) I am working on everyone else this weekend and by Monday I am determined to finally be DONE! Then I can sit and enjoy the few scraps of the christmas season left in peace! (well for all of three days then its Christmas eve, Christmas, and the hum drum sad empiness feeling that hits me every year).

Today I have nothing really I can do. It will be raining...again...and warm...again....and I have no money til tomorrow. Soooo it will be cleaning and playing and listening to laci fuss again all day. :P

Hope you all have a happy day!
Robin :)

9 Days!!

Its Tuesday...rainy...and warm. I am so sad that the whole country is in an artic blast except us here in the deep south. People are so lucky to see or even be sure they will see a white christmas and cold temperatures. It sucks to have warm rain on Christmas and that is pretty much what is going to happen here in Georgia for the rest of the days til Christmas. Oh well, enough with complaining about what I obviously cant change.
So I am going to the gym tonight because I had a massive migrain yesterday and didnt make it. I am already getting back to the point where I enjoy going...I just still dont enjoy the drive there and back. Brian meets me there with the kids so I save that 30-40 mins of him driving home and then me driving to the gym. It is pretty handy. The last couple of night we have been very lazy and havent done anything to prepare for Christmas so tonight when I get home from the gym we are wrapping gifts and then tomorrow night we need to clean up the kitchen that I got for the kids back in the summertime. (it is gently used and saved me almost 150.00). This weekend I am hoping to collect my blankets that I will be able to get together. I was unable to pass fliers so I am depending on friends, family, co-workers of my mom and Brian, and the great hearts of the amazon community. I am hoping that I will still come away with 30-50 blankets. :)
Today I am going to get out of the house with Laci and go look for a gift for my mom and then I may wrap all their stuff and get it under the tree. I also need to steam clean the livingroom floor and organize my bedroom some as I am starting to feel very cluttered in there. Other than that I will just be enjoing my time with the kids and maybe getting a nice shower! haha!
Hope you all have a wonderful day!

10 DAYS!

Ten little days until Christmas! Its so hard to believe how fast this year has gone by! I am hoping that by this weekend I can finally be done with the task of shopping for everyone so I can manage to enjoy a few days of this magical season without a "to do" list! (and the stress that comes with it!)

So this weekend was an absolute crazy ride as usually par for the course this time of the year. Saturday I got up and went shopping in the morning solo which is always nice. I got the kids their stuff for the stockings and Christopher's teachers a gift and looked for a gift for David. Then when I had drained the card brian gave me, I crawled home. LOL. Then we all went out and did some shopping and got Steve a gift and looked at some more stores for David's gift. We finished the day early and all of us were so tired that at 7:40 I was ready for bed!
Sunday we got up and did the grocery shopping early and then went to look at some stores and got the boxes for the gifts for Brians co-workers and boss. We then went home and Laci took her nap and Brian and Christopher cleaned my car. After Laci's nap we went to look around in some more stores just to get out of the house since we are expecting rain for the next 7 days, bleh, and then decided to go look at the Lights at Life in Marietta. Santa was there so we let christopher go and sit on his lap and tell him what he wanted for Christmas and what laci wanted too. It was so sweet and he did so good, and to see him whisper in Santa's ear was priceless!!! We bought a 5x7 picture and then we went home.
Today is a kinda slow and boring since its monday. I will go to the gym tonight and I am happy that I have lost my first pound! :) only 39 more to go for my summer goal! haha! :P
Hope today is fun filled and you all get to enjoy the season and maybe have better weather than us!

Friday, December 12, 2008

oh Good morning Good morning!

Its Friday at last! yay!

The last two days have been so boring and so nasty with rain and even a local tornado! Bleh! And then Baton Rouge gets 4 inches of snow and we dont even get a flurry! what?!?!? Anyways its going to be unseasonably warm for the next week or so...the last time I remember that we had a good January ice storm. *fingers crossed!* (yes we actually like the ice in this house!)
We started doing some wrapping last night and wrapped the gifts from my Grandma and Grandpa and put them under the tree and its starting to look pretty exciting! We tried to see santa at the mall last night but it was packed and an absolute madhouse, so we are going to try again the week before christmas when Christopher is off school during the lunch hours so maybe it wont be so crowded.
Tonight is Christmas movies, fun food, and cookies by the fire! I am looking foward to it! I cant believe how close we are to Christmas now! I am already looking past it into the new year and starting to get some plans in order. Soon (sometime in January) I will be renewing the kids' birthday blogs for the upcoming ones and I have already found a place to stay in Daytona for the July week! (The Grand Seas Resort, woohoo!) So for now I must go, its friday and I have a ton to do around the house and tomorrow me and Brian are actually going out! Then on Sunday we are taking the kids to the Lights at Life! I know they will love it!
Have a wonderful friday!!

What can *you* do to help?

So this last weekend when we were in Atlanta, as we were leaving we noticed that not 20 yards from the fun of the parade were at least 10 people who were homeless sleeping on the cold hard ground, one in nothing more than a tarp! It was a sobering moment to see that as we complained of our hands being cold (it was 36*) and being hungry...it was 3 hours after our pancake breakfast) there were people who the world had forgotten, who had probably forgotten about themselves and who they may have once been, sleeping in the fridgid temperatures. It bothered me for days. I wanted to do something and I *AM!*

I am organizing my first annual Blanket Drive for the Homeless. I am making a flier and will be passing them on mailboxes in our 3 big cluster neighborhoods this weekend as well as my mom posting one at her job and Brian at his...then this morning I made mention of it on an Amazon forum and I was asked to add blankets and sleeping bags to it, and I have now gotten NINE blankets and a sleeping bag (a nice coleman one and really nice new blankets) from complete strangers!!! I was overcome with joy and emotion this morning and humbled to tears! I cannot believe there is still such a human spirit out there! I am hoping that this christmas there will be people touched who thought that Christmas was just another day the world forgot them. I cannot explain the happiness in my heart!!!

So what can YOU do? Can you adopt people in Nursing homes? Donate to Toys for Tots? Donate a coat, or work a soup kitchen? What can you do to make someone else, a complete stranger, feel loved this year? Please, I ask that if nothing more, you say a prayer for those less fortunate. I mean, how many of us are a months pay away from where they are?

May your day be filled with the true meaning of Christmas!

and a one, and a two...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOOOOU

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR MOMMY!!!!

HAPPY BIIIIRTHDAAAY TOOOO YOOOU!!

Happy Birthday mommy! Hope you have a great day!!! I love you!!!

Happy Tuesday!

So I was so lazy I slept in yesterday and didnt get on here and update everything from our SUPER busy weekend! I said all weekend "come monday I am getting up at 6am...no matter what" and then on monday at 6am I woke up....with just enough power to turn my phone alarm off and went back to sleep til 8! Haha!

Well, the weekend was a blast for the most part. I honestly dont remember friday night at the moment so I will recap since Saturday. :P Saturday we got up and had breakfast and got bundled up because it was in the 20's again to go down to Atlanta for the christmas parade! (pictures will be added in next 48 hours). We got to Atlanta with a good hour to spare...and by the time we FOUND peachtree street since there was no directions at all online to get there, we had to run to get to the front of the parade so we could watch the whole thing as it happened! What a mess! I was literally dilusional as we hit Peachtree street saying "I found it!! I found peachtree street!!!!" It was awful and so stressful and then with one block til the parade I said "well I lost, I cant find it...if I make a left right now we can at least take the kids to Fernbank" and then as I was turning my blinker on, Brians says "no, THERE IT IS!" and we seen floats and were over joyed with the fact that after an hour of roaming the streets of Atlanta, we made it!
The parade was awesome! So much better than I thought it would be! The kids really enjoyed it and we were right on the side of the street and they had tons of goodies given to them by parade workers. They had one group of about 60 nurses in all white with full getup on and hats and the ones on the outside lines had I.V bags on holders colored red and green. The sight of them swelled me up with such emotion that I had tears and even lost a tear or two! I dont think anyone in the world has wanted to be a nurse as much as I do and I was just so proud of those girls out there doing what they do. (remember this was a parade to help the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Hospital hence the nurses). Christopher loved the clowns and huge Spongebob float and Laci loved it all but only sqealed in delight once and that was for the Llamas! LOL!! Brian says he loved seeing us love it and that was his favorite part. We have decided to make this a yearly event to help get us in the Spirit. :)
After the parade, Laci paced out on me and slept all the way home. We got some lunch and then went to the neighbors kid's birthday party. It was fast but the kids had fun. Christopher did fall off the top floor of their double decker fort thing in the backyard and we had a bad scare but other than being shaken up and sore he was ok, Thank God! He is now banned from it permanently. He understands and doesnt want to get back on it anyways.
Saturday night I went alone to the mall to do some shopping for my moms bday gift.
Sunday we got up and did some christmas shopping and then went to my mom's to bring her a gift. Then we went grocery shopping and came home to have cookies and play Guess Who. :)
Yesterday was pretty dull and slow after the big weekend, but it was ok. I went to the gym for the first time in 6 months! I was so scared to go because I hadnt been in so long, but I dont want to wait until january to make some half hearted resloution to lose weight. Because, quite honestly, for the first time in 6 years, losing weight is NOT goal this next year. I plan on getting healthier, but losing weight will be a bonus. If it happens it happens. :)
Well thats all the time I have today. Hope you all have a wonderful day!!

Happy Friday All!

Hoping you all are having a holly jolly friday! I read a comment this morning and it brought tears to my eyes because I know its easy to get caught up in the chaos and stress of the holiday season and its easy to get frustrated and spend more time stressing about the imperfections in the decorations and the destruction of them by children and cats and not see or feel the true meaning of this most wonderful time of the year. Today I am going to try and enjoy the day that God has so graciously granted me and try to make the very best of it. I am going to close my eyes and count jingle bells in my head until the urge to freak out and stress has passed and go right back to living for them moment. If I can mangae to do that today then I will try again tomorrow...and if I cant do it today I will *still* try again tomorrow and maybe with enough luck and love I can learn to continue to live for the days given and not stress the past because it has come and gone and not fear the future because I still have time to change it. Thank you Grandma. :)

Today is friday! I have a bit planned today. I need to get to Toys R Us, go to the mall for a birthday gift for my mom, get a camera picked up to use tomorrow and possibly pick David up to spend the night. Tomorrow is the CHRISTMAS PARADE! Yay! I am so excited and I know that even though its going to be FREEZING we will all have a great time and hopefully it will be a memory that Christopher will never forget! (Laci is so young I know she wont remember it)

Well, have a wonderfully blessed day everyone! I am off to make something of today!

Thursday...

This has been a very slow week being back to normal around the house. Tuesday we went to get a christmas tree and the prices were great, only 22.00 for a 7 foot douglas fir! It was freezing when we went and sadly my SECOND camera that I have bought to replace the one I broke before halloween went kaput! So I got no pictures of picking out the tree. I am so upset and trying to work with the warrenty people on getting it up and running again before christmas.

The tree is beautiful. We changed the window it sits in front of this year and I really like it. :) Laci is a monster though and is continuing to rip the ornaments of the tree. She stands super close to one with her hand juuuust by one and we say "LACI NO!" and at that moment she rips it off the branch as hard as she can and just stands there with it in her hand. She is trouble from the word go I tell you.

Any how I spent yesterday afternoon feeling crappy from a migrain and I am hoping today is better but I still have a headache and we have rain coming in (and if you know me you know I ALWAYS get a massive headache when it rains, I have my whole life. :P

Well I am off to start my long dull day. Hope you all have a great one!

Tuesday, December 2, 2008

Good Tuesday Morning :)

We seen snow on December 1st, how cool is that? It wasnt much, and we wont see it again I am sure for a few weeks if at all (you never know with GA weather) but it was nice...and cold! Today I woke to a beautiful orange and pink sunrise over the houses across the street. I love sunrises in winter because they look so airbrushed with their softness and colors. We didnt get a tree yesterday but there is a good chance we will tonight. Basically it will all revolve around Miss Laci and her schedual. She never took a nap yesterday and was very fussy and anxious for sleep by 6:30. So it wasnt happening. Today I am again letting her sleep as long as she wants and then I am also going to see if she will do a small nap this afternoon so she will stay up longer tonight. If not then it will not be tree time for us again. bleh!

I got my livingroom steam cleaned yesterday but never got around to may calendar so I have that on my list of things to do. It has finally stopped raining so I may put the last of our lights up outside today myself if I start feeling froggy for it. Other than that it will be a pretty slow day with not much planned. I am thinking I may go up in the attic and start making a list of everything we have gotten so far for the kids so I have a better idea of where we stand there.

Well have a wonderful Tuesday! I am off to see the wizard! lol

Happy December!!

And what nicer way to start December than with SNOW!! :) Yes we are getting our first flurries of the season today and tonight. Its is cold and gray outside but warm and festive inside! :)

Today is Monday, the first day in almost 2 1/2 weeks that things are supposed to go more "normal". Well Laci decided the hell with normal and is still asleep at 9:15. So she isnt getting a nap today. Christopher went back to school this morning, and I plan on working in the house today on steam cleaning the livingroom and working on December's calendar in the kitchen. We may go today and get our christmas tree too!! YAY! But we will see. I know we are going to finish the lights outside tonight for sure and I will post some new pictures tomorrow.
The weekend was a mad house. Thanksgiving went off without a hitch and I must say that I asked for a blessing at 5:00am and was truly given one. I went to Kmart for the Thanksgiving day sale and it turned out perfect. (except for the fact that I was there at 5:30am and they said they opened at 6 and it was really 7) I got to watch the Thanksgiving day parade with my kids and husband like I wanted. My mom was on time to my house for the 3pm dinner and I topped my day off with Brian's aunt Debra's famous much anticipated Carrot Cake...AND she sent me home with the rest of it!!! SCORE!!!! **drool**.
Friday was the so unholy Black Friday. I didnt actually need anything that was on sale this year (much to my dissapointment) and I went to target and got Joey his christmas gift and a few more good deals on toys for the kids that I didnt need. :P I was at home in bed by 7am. Joey helped me with the kids since Brian had to work and let me sleep til 9ish (broken sleep) and then I managed to stay up til 9:30 that night. I had hardly any voice left from pure exhaustion by the time I passed out next to christopher watching sponge bob!
Saturday I woke up feeling a lot better, but still tired, and took my brother David out for his 23rd birthday for lunch at Chilis. We had a nice time over Fajitas and enjoyed some solo time with each other. Happy Birthday again David, I am glad I could take you out. :) We then braved Toys r Us again and then went home.
Sunday was shopping for groceries and working on the lights in the yard in the cold rain. Last night was just getting ready for today.

Today is Monday...DECEMBER FIRST! Wow! How did that happen? Wasnt I *just* amazed that it was November? Or September? August? Counting down to our vacation in July? Where has 2008 gone? Oh well, better buckle down, get through December and prepare for the insane ride that will be 2009. It will be the biggest year in our family history here at the Pruitt house! eek!

Happy cyber monday all! :)
untill 12/02
