Brian had a bad end to last week with his car accident. It was a very emotional few days for us, and we are just now starting to get back to normal. We went this weekend and got the truck cleaned out and went to look at a few options, but we didnt have a lot of luck because it was cold, and rainy, and we had both kids. We will be doing that more next weekend I am sure. I went ahead and cancelled the Halloween party b/c I know this week will be a mess and we will likely be vehicle searching all weekend. Brian is still pretty sore. He had been diagnosed with a sprained neck, and banged up knee...but he is still sore. I am ust spending every day I have right now thanking God for him and for watching over him that day and for keeping him in my life. I woke up and realized how fast everything can be taken away from you and I cannot imagine my life without Brian in it every day and I am so very very blessed to have him.
In good news, Brian's grandfather came home from the hospital. :) He had to have some testing done on Friday to check a mas son his pancreas and I am trying hard to stay positive about that. I just dont know what to say at the idea of something happening to him. Its a shame that we lose such amazing people and so many amzing people are so sick and there isnt anything we can do. It makes me sad beyond words to think of life without my grandpa or brian's grandfather. :(
In other also good news, Christopher got his very first report card. He made all S's and did very well in his evaluation for the GKIDS testing. He is "a model student" was his only comments left by his teacher!! :) Teehee! It was so awesome signing my very first report card as a mommy. :)
Today was the 50th day of school, and they celebrated by having a 50s themed day with slicked back hair and poodle skirts. They had a hoola hoop contest and rootbeer floats. Me and Laci went in to help out the teacher and had a very good time. The bad news is that none of us ahve had our flu shots, half the kids in class were hacking and coughing, 4 kids were out with the flu and the school nurse informed me that the swine flu has run rampant in the school...fun fun! So now I think I will stock up on tissues, zycam, and orange juice! eek!!!
Well, I have a big day still ahead of me, so I better get this wrapped up.
Hug someone you love today....take them in, smell them, feel their warmth, listen to their heartbeat....its good for the soul.
Much love!
Mommy P

Hi Granddaughter, I just love to read your positive and uplifting posts. I'm really proud of the way you handle everything life hands you, the good and the not so good. I'm also proud of Christopher and his GREAT first report card. I'm praying for Oren as I do for Grandpa, and all my Ps in a pod.
I love you...Grandma Lolly
