What a weekend!

We have been pretty much non-stop since Brian was home all the end of last week, and this weekend was mothers day!

Thursday and Friday we worked at Christopher's school, and I decided in the fall I am going to look into doing substitue teachering, which I think would be a fun way to get out of the house a few days a week. Today starts the beginning of his last three weeks at school, and he is super excited! We are already working on a game plan for some fun as a family this summer. We have decided that during the summer we will be going down to have dinner with my mom and them every other friday night. It will give us a way to get closer and the kids to see their grandparents as much as possible and give us something fun to do. Being summertime there is no real schedual and the kids can pass out on the way home and its not a problem. I think its going to work out well and I am excited for it!

Thursday I got my hair cut and colored for Mothers day! I had 13 inches cut off and I had it dyed to a dark brunette color with honey highlights. I love it! It feels so good to have all that hair OFF of my head! Bleh!

Saturday was a big day. We started off with Bear's adoption! He was adopted by a nice family with twin 4.5 year olds and he is going to be living the high life now! His new name is Harley and he is gonna be one spoiled boy! Then we went to the store and got some stuff and we grilled some hamburgers and then invited Matthew and Isaiah over for smores in the back yard with our kids. After everyone went home and went to bed, me and brian sat outside til late in the dark by the fire even though it was freezing! (we got down into the 40s over night!) We stayed up and just talked until late and then finally came in a passed out.

I woke up Sunday morning (Mother's day) to a beautiful 6 foot banner that was handpainted by everyone on the bedroom wall. It literally made me gasp! It is so beautiful and so extreamly thoughtful! I got breakfast in bed complete with fresh picked flowers and pancakes and coffee and the newspaper. Christopher helped be a flipper of the pancakes because he "learned how to flip them on Spongebob!" LOL! I got some beautiful handmade cards (my fav!) and besides my hair, Brian wants me to join a local GSD club and start formal training with Clover! I am super excted and hope they still accept me after not showing up to the meeting on Thursday and missing the first class this saturday. I have to call him today and find out what the deal is.
After my awesome morning, we went to Lowes to get the rest of my moms stuff and then headed to my moms to spend the day. She grilled hot dogs, hamburgers, and ribs, we had corn and mashed potatoes and watermelon and it was all wonderful! My mom loved her stuff and her cards and we finally left around 5:30. We stopped at Walmart on the way home to get groceries. We are changing our diet around here and working on getting healthier as a family, so we all picked out things we would like to have this week. It worked well and we all came home ready for bed! Christopher and laci were both asleep by 8pm and me and brian were asleep by 11. It was a great day! :)

Today I have some errands to run but I got up with the alarm and got everyone's breakfast and lunch made and I am having my second cup of coffee and enjoying this beautiful morning already! I hope everyone enjoys their day too!

Lots of Love!

I read your complete blog again and wanted to comment. It's a shame none of the family reads this and your thoughts, but maybe they think this is a personal diary. Facebook is ok ...but most of it is BS and I know that. I do play the games because I'm housebound most of the time, but I'm not a complainer. I hope all your dreams come true..I believe they will one day!
Goodnight Granddaughter, I love you! <3
