Hey look, its not even been a week!

I am sitting here...on a day off with my husband...while everyone in the house is asleep, blogging. Yup. I *should* be asleep but I slept for crap last night and now I am up playing on the computer while everyone...right down to the cats...is passed out!

This weekend has been a hot one and a fairly busy one too. Friday we met at the mall and did our dinner there and I found a great new store called "Crazy 8" and its a sister store to Gymboree but they had a huge promotional sale going on and I scored a bagfull of stuff for the kids for winter/fall for only 98.00!!! WOOT! Then we went and got some stuff for the yard sale at my moms house and came home and got everything ready.

Saturday we had the yard sale but didnt have nearly as much as I thought we did, but got some clearing done and made about 100.00. Which was ok, b/c it covered the clothes I had bought the night before! I got sunburned though pretty badly on my face because it never dawned on me that I was out in the ummmm blazing hot sun for hours that I may want to put some sunblock on! ick! After the yardsale we went to my moms house again to reorganize our stuff that is packed away there from our house and spray for spiders and whatnot. (the garage area isnt "finished" so it is more open to the elements. *gag*) We got it looking pretty good, cleaned and swept and finally 2 hours later called it a day and went home. We got the kids into bed, showered and just laid around in our underwear to relax! LOL!

Yesterday we cleaned the house up, and I went to the grocery store. After that we took the kids to go find a hideaway near the lake for the rest of summer and fall. We found a great place with a beach and playground for only 30.00 for the year to park and its right on the lake, but it was slammed packed, but the guy at the booth said its only like that a few weekends out of the year, so we will see what its like next weekend and if its pretty open we will be spending a LOT of time there! Then we drove over to the YMCA and walked around to the area that meets the lake and we sat in a private area with the kids on a picnic table with the wind blowing quite nicely on us and threw pine cones in the water and watched the boats. It made us make a time table for when we will be buying one as we know we would benefit greatly from owning one. It also made me sad as I grew up on the lake and I absolutely get lost in it when I am around it. I think I have found *my* hideaway on days when I just need to escape for a few hours.

Today I am not sure what we are doing. It may rain so I think this morning we will take the kids to the park while its not too hot and then do some cleaning up here and then just go where the day takes us. :)

Hope you all are enjoying your 3 day weekend like us!
