Another week has gone by...

I am just not very good at getting on here lately. Just so much going on on a daily basis, even if its just and average day! Lets see...

Both kids have runny noses but are getting better, its pure allergies. Laci's is worse of course.

Wednesday we came thisclose to having yet another tornado. We seen cloud formations that storm chasers dreams are probably made of. My camera was dead, so I couldnt catch it on film, but man was it amazing!

Thursday was getting warmer. I packed a picnic dinner for us all and when I picked up christopher, we went straight to the ymca outdoors to play all afternoon and get him signed up for T-ball! :) Francis and her sister and the girls came too. (christopher's girlfriends family...its wierd how easy it has gotten for me to say that....) Francis ended up signing Alisa up too so now they will possibly play on the same team! :) Brian came up after work (around 4) and we played frisbee, and talked and watched the kids play on the huge jungle gym and we all took all the kids up to see the horses and goats, and the horses were LOVING the kids!!! (almost too much for my comfort, lol) Then we set up christophers new t-ball set and let him and alisa (followed of course by Laci and Ashlynn) take turns learning how to use the bat and stand. By the end of the afternoon christopher was already hitting balls a good 30+ feet away form him!! I am thinking he is going to be doing baseball for a while. We sat down and I managed to turn meals packed for 4 into enough to feed 6 as Alisa and Ashlynn were starving too. After a while we finally said good bye and headed home.

Friday was hot!!! I set up the kiddie pool outside and allowed christopher to stay home. We spent the morning shopping for things for the yard and for Bella's birthday present, and then came home to play! We were outside all day long!!! I got sunburned though. :( The kids were fine and were sitting and playing in the pool all afternoon. Bella came over too and played in the pool and all were having a great time! :) Then I worked in the back yard as my yard has been badly neglected. I also made the decision that I am done with my pond. Its a huge pond first off, and the pump is almost dead and a new one is almost 90.00. So I dug it up and pulled it out. (after vacuuming the water out of course) and then after work brian got some bags of top soil and we put some bags in whole and then poured more on top. It wasnt quite enough but I was beat so we called it a day.

Saturday was hotter!!! (86ish) We got up early and had breakfast and headed back to lowes. I got more flowers and soil and brian bought me a cute fountain for the island that has a bamboo looking water fall thing and attaches to a big pot and goes in the ground. We went home and realized we bought the wrong kind of pot so brian went back to the store. He opted for home depot this time and when he came home he surprised us all with a new grill!!!! :) We had all but given up on getting a grill this year b/c they cost so much, but the one I wanted (a blue charmglow) was clearenced!! He got there and there was only 4 left. he grabbed one and walked around the store pushing it to get his stuff. The guy at the front said there was people coming from as far as roswell to get one b/c they are sold out everywhere else, but by the time brian left they were all gone! So that was an amazingly great accidental find!! :) So we finished the island and then cleaned up and went next door for Bella's 2nd birthday. We had a fun time playing outside with water balloons and hoses and slip and slides and water guns. We went home finally and got the kids cleaned and in dry clothes and let them finish the day playing in the front yard. I was so worn out and even more burned...I went to bed early.

Sunday was great!!! I organized my first gathering at the beach! It was my, brian, christopher and Laci, Tiffany, eric, isaiah, matthew and bella, Jesse, gary, grace and jordane, and the Tiffany's friend Shea, her husband and their baby. We all grilled hotdogs and set up a shelter on the beach for some shade and we all even got in the water...well some not more than from the waist down, lol. The kids all had a blast and we stayed from around 10 til almost 3:15. I made a big bowl of cut up watermelon and we all shared eachothers chips and dip and juice and sunblock! LOL! It was such a fantastic day. The kids were well coated with sunblock...me and brian, not so much. Brians neck is burned now and I am officially afraid of the sun!! :P I have to be more careful now. This was early warm weather foolishness. So we got home and brian got the kids clean and I went to the grocery store. I was so tired I wanted to cry last night. I am up now though and getting this done before laci wakes up. Today its back to the daily grind. It will be hot again so I know we will be outside, but I will be covered up more!

So this is it! From here on out til July 25th I have ever single saturday booked up! We have the renaissance festival next weekend, the indian festival, a bday, and mothers day the following one, christophers bday after that, my passion party on the 23rd, and then from the 30th of may til the 25th of july christopher has t-ball! I have a feeling my summer may fly by...and for the first time I think I will be sad to see it go. I usually hate the heat and aggravation of the summer months but this time I think it may start to get fun again! :)

Brian is leaving on June 7th to Chicago and not coming home til the 18th. :( I am going to miss him so bad.

Welp I am off and finally done catching up I think. Oh, the guy is coming this week for sure to put up christopher's wall. I have to go buy white paint today I think! Eek!

Have a beautiful warm week!
Love, Mommy P

Good Monday

I think I have lost all my readers except my grandparents, but its ok. I try not to get dispaired. It was a busy weekend. Last week was just kind of a lot of playing and cleaning and I painted my livingroom for the first time ever and I love it!!! I let Christopher skip school on Friday and I took him and Laci out to a garage sale or 2 and then to the YMCA to play on the big playground. Saturday I got up and out early to go to the annual Bridgemill garage sale. It comes twice a year and I never miss it! I got a few things and was in the neighborhood for 6 hours! We had the neighborhood sale for our subdivisions this weekend too, but I couldnt participate because I was too busy at Bridgemill. Brian took the kids up to see his grandparents and brought Pixie to introduce her to them.

Yesterday we tried to do something with the day so we went to the mall. Brian treated me to a pair of shorts, a shirt and a pair of capris and some new undies at victoria secret. :) Then we played outside for the rest of the afternoon til the rain came. Then it was dinner, baths, play and wrestle and bed for the kids. Me and Brian stayed up til the tornado sirens went off and the threat of tornadoes passed around 11:30. We are both a bit tired today now.

Today I plan on doing all laundry and vacuum and clean up the bedrooms. Tomorrow I am signing up Christopher for T-ball and getting our pass for the year for the YMCA and looking into our fishing license.

This weekend we have Bella's birthday next door, and sunday its supposed to be 80 and sunny so I am trying to plan a multi family day at the lake for BBQ sun sand and fun! :) If the multi family thing doesnt work, then it will just be us...either way its a win win! :)

Well that laundry aint gonna wash itself! (I know b/c I waited all week to see if it would! ha!!)

Have a beautiful day, count your blessings, forgive, hug a friend, kiss someone special to you, and enjoy the day God has given you!!!

Much love!
Robin

Tuesday...

It is plain to see that I am having a very hard time playing catch up in life right now. I have so many things going on and so many projects started and so many crappy weather days keeping me from getting a whole lot done that I think I may never get done with everything I have to do!

Lets recap on Easter. What a day! Nothing went as planned and everytime we tried to make something of the day it would be shot to hell too. From the eggs the night before to the actual entire day, nothing went right. It was one of those holidays (and we all have them) that would be better off taken out of the record books. Maybe we can pull it off better next year. *sigh* But the kids did get loads of goodies from the easter bunny, and enjoyed dying eggs, and all that jazz....but the other 90% of the day was awful. I will post pics...and about 100 more as soon as I get some batteries during the 15 runs to the stores to get them I have forgotten so far! :P

Other than just the madness of it all, we havent gotten then refinance yet b/c we have to raise brian's score by 5 points to get a really great deal so we are holding off and paying off some credit cards and the HOA fees and waiting for it to process first. In the mean time, Brians aunt and grandfather are paying things and we will pay them back out of the refi. Christopher's bedroom wall is supposed to be done this week, but I havent heard anything yet.

On a positive note, we are getting christopher into T-ball at the YMCA this year. We have to have him signed up by May 4th and his first game is May 30th. He is really excited, and I am too! (after my initial freakout that he would have a bat go through his front teeth during a game...) He is going to love it I think and being at the Y, laci will love it too.

We are clearing the back yard across the creek to add fun to the yard for christopher as he has finally gotten to the age where playing in the woods is WAY more fun than scary! So we have been working on that, but its hard to finish anything outide when its pouring rain every other day!!! This weather is killing me!!!! I have only been ale to get one or two great days out of it so far this spring! We had a cold front come through with a freak freeze this last week and killed all my flowers I just planted, so that was super awful and made me angry. So my yard is still looking pretty crappy...and soupy with all the rain.

Yesterday I got a new table to use as a desk in the closet upstairs so I am a lot happier with my workspace and today I am determined to get my kitchen and dining room spotless, if it freaking kills me!!! (which it may, you never know).

Anyhow I hope everyone had a great easter weekend and I send much love to you all.

♥ Robin

Hello again...

I dont know if its just that life is *so* busy or not busy enough for blogging that has me away from here so much lately.

Lets see...

Laci started saying the sweetest phrase ever on the 2nd...and she had me at "I Yub E", thats I love You for all those not so fluent in Toddlerese. :) She is starting to talk like mad now all of a sudden too! The just talks and talks and talks, but most of it still come out sounding very Furby, lol! Christopher is on his Spring Break. His very first one. He is enjoying the time off, now if the weather would get warm and stop raining maybe we could enjoy some of this week! I got him enrolled in Kindergarten last week. They both were great and colored while I filled out paperwork and Christopher was in awe of the cafeteria. He seen the stage and said *gasp* "Thats where we can put on shows!!" and was just as excited as could be. He wanted my approval as well on the place and asked me if I thought it was "cute". LoL! He is very excited to start big boy school in the fall. :)

Pixie is doing wonderfully. She is a great sweet dog who has had very few accidents. She actually woke me up the first night she was home by licking my feet and hands to tell me she had to go potty 2 times over night. She is a great addition to our home and I am falling in love with her!

Brian is loving his new job. He is doing well with his training and they are trying to figure out when he will be sent to Chicago for the big 2 week school as well. It is going to be so wierd being apart for that long. :(

We are working hard on the house. Christopher's room is supposed to be getting walled in this week, and we spent all weekend unpacking boxes and sorting things and packing up other things to stay in storage and re-arranging the garage. This week we have to get ready for easter and Wednesday night Joey and his friend Chris will be spending the night to babysit for us so we can try a new resteraunt and play Monster Golf, then go get everything for the weekend for Easter. Then Thursday I am taking joey, chris, laci, and christopher to the lake for a picnic lunch and to play and enjoy the sun and warmth finally!! :)

Well I am off for now
Hope all is well with everyone!

Welcome to APRIL!

Hello all! Welcome to April! (I am well aware a day late!)

This is the first month in 14 that I get to go back to "normal"! I forgot how to do that in this house!

So to bring you all up to date again,
The house is off the market. We are finalizing the paperwork this weekend. We are working on things around the house and we are still waiting on word from the refinance. Brian started his new job at Allstate and is loving it and I am trying to get used to getting up early to get Laci back on a normal schedual. I had to go to the ER this last weekend as I have Bronchitis and Pneumonia. I am on a ton of meds, and feeling alot better now. We added a 3 month old pup to our household this weekend. She is a Blue Heeler (AKA Austrailian cattle dog) and is super super sweet and smart as a whip! She is 3 months old and her birthday is Christmas day! Her name is Pixie and I am already falling in love! The kids both love her to pieces too!

This last weekend we also changed the kids' rooms. We painted and did a makeover of Christophers closet. I will post before and after pics eventually. They look great though and both kids love the "new" bedrooms! :)

Today is a HUGE day!!! I register my baby boy for KINDERGARTEN!!!! He will be attending Liberty Elementary and I have to go this afternoon and get him signed up! He is also doing so great in Pre-K. He is now reading the first 2 books in his hooked on phonics set in class and can read small words in books at home. (We recently enjoyed "hop on pop") I have started reading again everynight and we both love that quality time. He is spending the night this weekend with Nana and Grandpa Steve. They are taking him out for pizza and to see "Monsters vs. Aliens" at the theater. He is really excited and I know he will have a blast! I am so happy about it too! :)

I am trying to get well finally so I can add the gym back into my life. I think its a combo of the extream stress of life that has my immune system down and I think thats why I seem to be picking up every tiny thing I come in contact with. Hopefully now that we have a life plan I can start to get back to me...13 1/2 months ago me that is...

Well I am off to unpack some boxes and steam clean the livingroom. Hope you all have a fantastic day!

Robin
