I am just not very good at getting on here lately. Just so much going on on a daily basis, even if its just and average day! Lets see...
Both kids have runny noses but are getting better, its pure allergies. Laci's is worse of course.
Wednesday we came thisclose to having yet another tornado. We seen cloud formations that storm chasers dreams are probably made of. My camera was dead, so I couldnt catch it on film, but man was it amazing!
Thursday was getting warmer. I packed a picnic dinner for us all and when I picked up christopher, we went straight to the ymca outdoors to play all afternoon and get him signed up for T-ball! :) Francis and her sister and the girls came too. (christopher's girlfriends family...its wierd how easy it has gotten for me to say that....) Francis ended up signing Alisa up too so now they will possibly play on the same team! :) Brian came up after work (around 4) and we played frisbee, and talked and watched the kids play on the huge jungle gym and we all took all the kids up to see the horses and goats, and the horses were LOVING the kids!!! (almost too much for my comfort, lol) Then we set up christophers new t-ball set and let him and alisa (followed of course by Laci and Ashlynn) take turns learning how to use the bat and stand. By the end of the afternoon christopher was already hitting balls a good 30+ feet away form him!! I am thinking he is going to be doing baseball for a while. We sat down and I managed to turn meals packed for 4 into enough to feed 6 as Alisa and Ashlynn were starving too. After a while we finally said good bye and headed home.
Friday was hot!!! I set up the kiddie pool outside and allowed christopher to stay home. We spent the morning shopping for things for the yard and for Bella's birthday present, and then came home to play! We were outside all day long!!! I got sunburned though. :( The kids were fine and were sitting and playing in the pool all afternoon. Bella came over too and played in the pool and all were having a great time! :) Then I worked in the back yard as my yard has been badly neglected. I also made the decision that I am done with my pond. Its a huge pond first off, and the pump is almost dead and a new one is almost 90.00. So I dug it up and pulled it out. (after vacuuming the water out of course) and then after work brian got some bags of top soil and we put some bags in whole and then poured more on top. It wasnt quite enough but I was beat so we called it a day.
Saturday was hotter!!! (86ish) We got up early and had breakfast and headed back to lowes. I got more flowers and soil and brian bought me a cute fountain for the island that has a bamboo looking water fall thing and attaches to a big pot and goes in the ground. We went home and realized we bought the wrong kind of pot so brian went back to the store. He opted for home depot this time and when he came home he surprised us all with a new grill!!!! :) We had all but given up on getting a grill this year b/c they cost so much, but the one I wanted (a blue charmglow) was clearenced!! He got there and there was only 4 left. he grabbed one and walked around the store pushing it to get his stuff. The guy at the front said there was people coming from as far as roswell to get one b/c they are sold out everywhere else, but by the time brian left they were all gone! So that was an amazingly great accidental find!! :) So we finished the island and then cleaned up and went next door for Bella's 2nd birthday. We had a fun time playing outside with water balloons and hoses and slip and slides and water guns. We went home finally and got the kids cleaned and in dry clothes and let them finish the day playing in the front yard. I was so worn out and even more burned...I went to bed early.
Sunday was great!!! I organized my first gathering at the beach! It was my, brian, christopher and Laci, Tiffany, eric, isaiah, matthew and bella, Jesse, gary, grace and jordane, and the Tiffany's friend Shea, her husband and their baby. We all grilled hotdogs and set up a shelter on the beach for some shade and we all even got in the water...well some not more than from the waist down, lol. The kids all had a blast and we stayed from around 10 til almost 3:15. I made a big bowl of cut up watermelon and we all shared eachothers chips and dip and juice and sunblock! LOL! It was such a fantastic day. The kids were well coated with sunblock...me and brian, not so much. Brians neck is burned now and I am officially afraid of the sun!! :P I have to be more careful now. This was early warm weather foolishness. So we got home and brian got the kids clean and I went to the grocery store. I was so tired I wanted to cry last night. I am up now though and getting this done before laci wakes up. Today its back to the daily grind. It will be hot again so I know we will be outside, but I will be covered up more!
So this is it! From here on out til July 25th I have ever single saturday booked up! We have the renaissance festival next weekend, the indian festival, a bday, and mothers day the following one, christophers bday after that, my passion party on the 23rd, and then from the 30th of may til the 25th of july christopher has t-ball! I have a feeling my summer may fly by...and for the first time I think I will be sad to see it go. I usually hate the heat and aggravation of the summer months but this time I think it may start to get fun again! :)
Brian is leaving on June 7th to Chicago and not coming home til the 18th. :( I am going to miss him so bad.
Welp I am off and finally done catching up I think. Oh, the guy is coming this week for sure to put up christopher's wall. I have to go buy white paint today I think! Eek!
Have a beautiful warm week!
Love, Mommy P

Hi granddaughter, This is your faithful reader, Grandma Lolly. You sure have a lot going on, but it all seems like fun to me, even the work of fixing up the house. Having things to do keeps us busy and that's a good thing. Not much in the lives of the 2 nuts in a shell here. We had 2 doctor appoints. yesterday, lab work this week and a consultation on Fri. with Grandpa's Urologist.
New Sub: I picked the first of the spring tomatoes, the peppers and cucumbers are doing well too. I put a Topsy Turvy tomato plant up hanging from the clothesline, that has tons of yellow flowers already. The gazebo is freshly painted as well as the swing. I bought new chairs and a table for the gazebo, the old ones finally gave in. The cracks in the driveway are patched and painted and I'm moving along finishing my Spring projects. We went to church last Sun. to see a passion play called " The Promise" it was amazing, but grandpa was worn out after it. I have Christopher's birthday gift all packed and ready to mail, I'll do that in a few days. I'm still training Aunt Chrissy and getting out of the house is good for a few hours. This weekend I'm gonna make a place for the firepit, I was thinking of laying some red concrete squares to make a little stand for it. It's in the fla. room right now and too heavy to lug in and out. Well I'm happy to see all is well with the Four Ps In A Pod family. I hope you have a nice Mother's day coming up soon. Love and Miss you!
Grandma Lolly
