Another contingency!

Today we are putting another offer in and a contingency request on a home that is going to be almost a complete demo inside to make livable...but the house is 10 minutes from my moms door and the SIZE of the home is amazing!!!

the house is listed at 139,900 but thats a crazy price considering the work that needs to be put in. We will need to drop 20-25k right off the bat before we can even move our kids in!!! But the house is a forclosure, about 5 bedrooms and 3 bath and HUGE!!! The other comparable homes in that neighborhood sell between 175 and 190,000!! So we are offering 118, 000 and we wont pay more than 122, 000 because there really is so much work that has to be put into it. Me and brian are not only up for the challenge, we are actually excited about it!!! So lets hope that they agree to the contingency and dont try to get us to pay too much for it, because even though we love the house, we are not stupid...we will walk away...and I almost promise they will come back! LOL

here is a link to the home :

Being a forclosure, there is only the one picture...but if we get it I will post more of the 100 pics we took of it last weekend...and then no one will see it again until its done!! :D

Well, i gotta go get kids together for the doctors today and get a shower in.

Have a nice day!

Fixer upers are fun; you can add your own unique design to it and make it your own.
Our last house was one that needed a lot of work. We just aren't ones who like, or know how, to do repairs and did not want to spend the money on fixing it. So we opted with a new home when we bought a year ago.
When I moved in with my husband in our old house, he had lived there with is ex wife prior to me for 9 years..give-or-take. She didn't do ANYTHING to that house! You would have never, ever, guessed that a woman had once lived there. It was really sad actually. So when I moved in, I bought ALL new furniture, painted, decorated, and we MADE IT OUR OWN! It felt like home, and I was proud b/c he and I put the work into the house together.
So my point is....lol....a house that requires work is fun, it will feel like home b/c you put your time into doing exactly what you wanted, and I'm sure you will love it.

thank you amanda! you just inspired me that much more!!! The paperwork is done now we just sit and wait...again! LOL

luckily me and brian know how and are anxious to do demo work to a house so this is more of a fun challenge than anything to me! :)
