On the very busy end of the week.
We were sick through thursday I think, and then like a miracle, we all woke up great on Friday. Me and Brian are do-ers and we made the decision that even though we lost a full week from sickness we were still going to meet our sunday deadline to list the house.
Friday I worked and worked and worked while brian was at work getting chewed out for being home with his vomiting and other unmentionable acts family for a day and a half. Friday night we kept on chugging along. Saturday we got the yard finished with flowers and worked a LOT in the house before meeting with christian and looking at some potential houses.
We found two that we liked...
One is a forclosure that is HUGE and in a great location...but right off the bat we would need to put in 10-20 thousand dollars in fixing the place up...but if we could low ball the bank and bring them down from 139 to 118, 000 we could do it and really turn the place into an amzing home.
and then we seen the house on deerfield...
one word i uttered from the time we walked in...
"wow"
I knew it was the one...just like my grandma said...I was stunned with the workmanship and beauty of this home. The yard was an acre of park like pasture, the rooms awesome, the whole house was hardwood floors...just...wow.
So we made the choice to put in a bid (although a very low one) and write up a contingency and see if there was a chance at this home of our dreams...
we waited all night....all day....and at 5:45 this afternoon...
it was denied. :( yup, denied. They dont want to do a contingency. So they said if we could buy the house we could but they dont want to do the contingency. Which is kind of dumb if you ask me because they can still take offers and sell the house even if they had agreed. All it means is they had a guarenteed sale pending...but nope.
And i was crushed...crushed crushed crushed.
But back to the weekend, somehow we mangaed to pull it all together and with seconds left on the clock we squeezed it out and got the house ready to list! And she is amazing I must say!!! I cant wait to see the house online! We have a sign in our yard and a lock box on the door and we are official!!
So at 3am MLS will update in the system and our house will be viewable to everyone. I iwll post a link tomorrow!
So I am going to bed...
Goodnight!
