Hello! And welcome to 2009!!!
Let me start by saying that my brother Joey is an awesome kid and I cannot still thank him enough for giving me and Brian a New Years Eve to remember forever! :)
It seems like eons ago that I was on here preparing for the new year and now its here! Wednesday went all wrong at first. My schedual went down the drain and I found myself struggling to accomplish anything all day long. I did get Joey (late) from his girlfriends house, and on the way home I had one hour to leave the house to get brian on time after work. Well, then there was an accident on 575N so we took the back way off Sixes road home. Coming up on our neighborhood I came into a police check stop. I was later given a ticket for not wearing my seatbelt...luckily everyone else was so I was only out a lecture and 15.00.
Then I decided to save myself trouble and just order pizza for the kids and got ready to go. I left 2 mins earlier than I had a goal of and was so excited...til I realized I left my camera at home! 20 mins later and getting stressed I had Joey put the camera and batteries outside for me. I went and got Brian and we headed down. We got a bit lost as usual and I got a text 30 mins late for the time frame from Joey saying the pizza wasnt there yet. So I called and freaked out on the manager who told me the pizza I ordered online they dont actually sell anymore and that they tried one number (my old phone) but not the other one (my new phone) and simply cancelled the order. So after 20 mins on the phone with her she was sending 2 new pizzas out at 1/2 price. I agreed and hung up. 40 mins later I get a call from Joey saying the guy was there and the pizza was not paid for. (Like I originally did online) so I got on the phone with him and flipped out and then he called the manager and she said just to leave it that it was free. (the soda I had ordered Joey also wasnt included in the new order) ugh! So Joey and the kids were fed and it was time to start the night.
It was FREEZING! It was only in the upper 20s and windy. Thankfully we had a blanket in the truck that is usually used by Christopher so we took it into underground with us. It wasnt too bad crowded until about 9pm. We ate dinner at waffle house next to the peach and I gave our waitress some of my beads. :)
We didnt drink anything but soda dn coffee all night and we were happy we made that choice yesterday morning! ha! The peach drop was awesome and I would do it again but change quite a few things in the schedual to do so...and getting a hotel nearby wouldnt hurt either! ;)
When the countdown was done they lit fireworks and a million pieces of confetti was released and the band (Julianne Hough from Dancing with the Stars) cranked back up and me and Brian shared a kiss! :) It was just as I imagined it would be! What a way to kick off the new year!
Yesterday we were up early and I made waffles and eggs for breakfast and we got Joey home. We worked on the house all day and changed the bedroom back around and turned our walk in closet into a mini office which is where I am sitting now tyoing this all up.
I wasnt online yesterday or this morning because I am sick. I dont know if its a cold or allergies, but I am sick as can be and looking foward to Brian coming home so I can go to bed at 6:45 tonight!
Hope you all had a magical New Years Eve and we are ready for a rockin' 2009!
*cheers!*
Love you all!
Robin
